    Wanted to get some more obscure tips & tricks out there for those of you wanting to know...well what you don't know. If I failed to teach you anything new feel free to call me a liar down here!     Damage fall off for something that doesn't rely on kinetic energy is stupid as hell. EAT, RR and Spear should all deal the same damage regardless of distance

    I love how in most games these "obscure tips" are usually very basic stuff, while in Helldivers 2 you have shit like "if you shoot an anti-tank in these specific scales while walking foward you can consistently one shot this guy"
  • Tip for the Spear, if you hold ADS while reloading you can charge the lock on for your next shot even though the aiming reticle isn't visible. That way you can fire the instant the next shell is loaded.

  • Tip for clearing bug nests: If you can, close the holes from outside the nest. The bug holes seem to only spawn bugs if you are within a certain range of the nest. This can be best seen by using an Eruptor to clear a large bug nest from the rim of the crater.

    The charger G-spot segment is 100% accurate with that segment in Starship Troopers where Carl makes that info video about shooting the nerve stem on the arachnids to put them down for good. Pure gold this game is!

    The way damage falloff works is pretty silly considering how many guns are clearly designed to hit specific breakpoints and then immediately fail to reach them by only 1 point. The Diligence is shy of one shotting Devastator eyes by 1 point, the various anti tank rockets are short of one shotting charger leg armor by 1 point, the attempted Breaker Spray and Pray rework caused it to lose 6 damage on every shot thanks to receiving extra pellets, and so many more weird interactions thanks to the damage falloff mechanics. I can see it being beneficial for every gun to receive a flat +1 damage to every single instance of damage to counteract the immediate loss of one damage, or possibly just reworking how damage falloff works to start later in a projectile's lifetime.
  • As an addition to the Rocket Devastator tip: Remember that Gunships are the exact opposite. They will always lead the shot perfectly, so you want to double back as soon as they start firing rockets in order to dodge reliably.

    2:34 Mentioned it during Thicc's stream already: That spot is also a good target for the Railgun. It only has 75% durability, so 3 shots with 65-75% charge are normally enough to kill the Charger.

    Great, so I have to move towards the enemy that's charging right at me to get the full amount of damage listed. Great mechanic.

    The velocity thing could be fixed by simply altering how damage falloff works. Weapons shouldn't lose damage as soon as they round leaves the barrel, no matter what recoil says

    Another fun tip: stimming causes anyone with "Hold to Sprint" on M&KB on your squad to pause as if THEY were stimming.
