unknown causes explosion happen quite often, here and there. a couple of years back , in Dallas, TX, one house was blown off , somebody suspected home owner did it in purpose, that man was hurt ,near death. a year or so later, official still tight lips. . sorry for a human life being lost .

I find it odd that gas and propane can just automatically shut itself off after the explosion

Recently I read up on a whole neighborhood explosion that occurred in 1951. After reading I realized these things happen almost every week. An explosion is always in the news.
