This gives me some old Beatles vibes a bit. I grew up on that kind of music and its so nice to hear something new that takes me back.

its weird bc i know this song is originally written from the perspective of a parent watching their child grow up but having just turned 23 and moved halfway across the world for grad school, I cant help but hear in it a self reflective sadness about the passage of times in one's own life. the absentminded girlhood now gone. either way, this abba song always gets me but its never made me cry in the way his cover of it did. amazing.

This is really really beautiful .. beautifully done ... He re-arranged the song in a way that feels very much like the Beatles and as many people pointed out, he even sounds like McCartney .. Very talented lad .. I'm finally listening to his music thanks to this cover after having known his name for so long .. might even grab those last tickets to his concert :)

found this cover accidentally today and it inspired me to try to learn it on guitar. couldn't help my tears at the very end and i don't find myself really great at singing. i don't know how he's able to sing this with so much heart without shedding a single tear. love you so much, declan. thank you ❤
