Impeccable timing… considering the titanic submarine disappearance
  • @GalenMicheal
I can't believe he became a deep sea diver after being stuck under water like that.

It warms my heart knowing that even after what i suspect was probably the most terrifying 60 hours of his life, harrison not only had the courage to get back in the water afterwards, but had the courage to take up deep sea diving as if the ocean didn’t almost take his life.

Incredible that the guy that survived in that little pocket underwater became a deep sea diver. Inspiring story.

I'm surprised you decided to mention Titanic survivors and didn't include Charles Joughin. He was the chief baker on the ship, and when he realized the ship was sinking, he helped himself to a couple of stiff drinks, helped get people onto the lifeboats, and threw whatever furniture that looked like it might float into the water for people to hold onto. Joughin ended up riding the ship down into the water, and ended up being rescued by one of the lifeboats, but somehow managed to avoid anything worse than swollen feet, despite alcohol normally promoting hypothermia.

The guy eaten by the whale going "im sorry I got in his way" is an absolute treasure

Ive always found Harrison's story so chilling. In a hollow of a slowly sinking boat, half your body submerged, electric going out.Just feet away from sharks as you hear them rip apart the bodies of your friends, unable to take any action...shudder. And he becomes a deep sea diver! Its lije instesd of PTSD he found his calling. What a legend!
  • @mhaseth
Harrison's story always blows my mind, going through that and then thinking "huh, well I seem to be pretty good at surviving underwater, I think I'll take up diving" is another level of facing your fear head on

I can’t imagine being stranded at sea for over a year!

I adore the amount of empathy that fisherman had for the whale. He got Jonah'ed and was still just as worried about upsetting the whale after he was safe, as he would've been worried for himself in the moment.

I can’t believe he has been stranded at sea for over a year, I’m so glad he survived and he really shows that no one should give up hope. ❤
  • @Traskie
Being attacked by squids in the middle of the ocean has got to be the scariest experience with nature you can possibly have.
  • @vackitup
Man it really is a blessing that all of these people survived all these incidents. Also this adds to the fear of going into the sea.
  • @Cindy-rz1vu
All of these stories are just incredible, incredible how all of these people survived such tragic events.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention violet jessop, she survived both the sinking of titanic and britanic without knowing how to swim
  • Sad fact: Zeke was a very rookie fisherman in the company, and Jose’s expertise carried them both. Unfortunately, Zeus’s unexperience out in the water meant he wasn’t use to the water life, which caused him to spiral into a deep depression, eventually leading to him starving himself. For Jose, he was at home in the water, but Zeke brought him moral support. After Zeke died, Jose sat staring at Zeke body for days.

Scott Cassell is proof that the cameraman never dies . Impeccable timing… considering the titanic submarine disappearance.

5:34 - that's actually a video of the RMS Olympic, Titanic's older sister ship. There is actually no known footage of the titanic as before it sank Titanic was very unpopular. It actually was the sinking that made it popular.

My grandma’s dad survived the Indianapolis :0 It’s insane to know what he survived
