Do note that torterra has also gained access to the powerful ground type attack, headlong rush
  • @kvar_runeback
For Kleavor, you made a mistake: X-Scissor is boosted by sharpness, though the speed control aspect of pounce might play, I think the raw power might make the sharp move more attractive, because Kleavor offers little outside of stealth rocks and damage

Hopefully Pokémon starts doing things like this going forward
  • @TeamPlant
Empoleon finally getting the love it deserves
  • @Leaf_VT
Roaring Moon always had access to Scale Shot, it was the only mon with access to it by level up
  • @suly5836
You forgot to mention that Empoleon not only got an usable ability, but he also got knock off and flip turn.

Kilowattrel and Roaring Moon already had access to Weather Ball and Scale Shot respectively. Fun fact, it was Roaring Moon's signature move in Gen 9 prior to the Teal Mask since it was the only mon to learn it.

Quick misconception: X-Scissor is boosted by sharpness and it does do a ton of damage when on Kleavor. Other than that great vid! Looking forward to finally seeing my bois Shiftry and Kommo-O getting more usage!
  • Empoleon being potentially viable is incredible! Excited that the Sinnoh starters are getting some love!
  • Scizor with something like tera dragon is very interesting in my opinion. The only natural threats to scizor are fire types. Dragon resists it. It also resists water and grass. The fact that Ogerpon , rillaboom and urshifu are everywhere, means this will be a very hard counter to them. After it Teras into dragon, it does become weak to Chien-pao and flutter mane, but technician bullet punch essentially ohkos both of them without sash. This on top of the fact that people won't want to bring flutter or Chien pao into a matchup with scizor because it resists ice and fairy naturally. With dual wing beat, it can get rid of the troublesome grass and fighting types everywhere. I'm glad you mentioned this and I plan on trying it out starting today!
  • Shiftry itself also has tailwind. So it using the attack basically gives itself a shift gear while also increasing the speed for its whole team
  • @Slimeonian
Fun fact, Kommo-o’s Clangorus Soul works with Throat Spray. Meaning you can get +1 in attack, defence, special defence and speed, then +2 in special attack too :) I’ve been using Clangorus Soul, Drain Punch, Draco Meteor and Ghost Tera Blast

Not only did Empoleon get a better ability, it now has access to Air Slash, which might make it a powerhouse.

I think Gliscor at least warranted a mention, seeing as he got, High Horsepower, Tailwind, Dual Wingbeat, Crabhammer, and Scale Shot. Also Gliscor still has Knock Off. While this isn't going make Gliscor dethrone Lando-T because he's still Lando-T, they are still notable positives Gliscor has over Lando-T. So it might get a decent niche as Lando-T, but you also want it to have Tailwind.

Just so you know, Roaring Moon always had Scale Shot in its movepool. In fact, it was a level up move! The only Pokémon with that distinction.

I don't think it'll be gamebreaking, but Infernape having access to Aura Sphere makes special sets actually viable. Weavile getting Knock Off back also gives it one thing that sets it apart from Chien-Pao, so maybe it can find teams that prefer it. Also, I wonder how Vacuum Wave being a TM will effect both of them.
  • @quercusroburx
torterra + loaded dice + rock blast + bullet seed + headlong rush + shell smash = epic build
  • @iancastro1327
I dont think anyone is going to use shiftry but we are going to see some niche fun teams
  • @Nate.mp4
Its bananas that Torterra doesn't get Spiky Shield, I mean just look at him
