Trapping a Male Cardinal

I set an assortment of seeds to attract the cardinal inside, once inside I pulled the string that was attached to a stick to close the trap door which trapped the bird.

I once caught a female cardinal and she was MAD! She bit a few times but it didn’t hurt. After holding her, I put the bird back outside. Cute little things!

... why tho? Imagine some giant trapped you like this, can you imagine how much stress this puts the bird under? I love watching animal videos but trapping it for no reason is just cruel, borderline animal abuse. Some animals can even die just from stress when captured. Could've just put the seeds there with the camera without the whole cage part...
