  • “Please don’t judge me too hard” bruh this is a goddamn masterpiece!!!

Swords are called nails in Hollow Knight because "nail" is an archaic word for sword! It derives from Nægling, one of Beowulf's swords, which means... nail. It's a bit of a case of a specific object's name coming to be used for an entire category of object. It suits Hollow Knight's world really well because of the old, flowery language everyone uses.

I love when people give the bugs of Hollow knight armor like exoskeletons. It makes me so happy.
  • @unarandom597
Fun Fact: THK only has one arm but PV has both Pdst:The sculpture with the Sealed Vessel theme was… ✨Pure masterpiece✨

This is the personification of a tragic hero. You did a fantastic job here. I love the bigger picture, the process, your thoughts and the result, just awesome.
  • @adirajp
i absolutely love that you kept all of your second guessing and doubt in the video, really reflects the artistic process for most people. Most youtubers just edit all that stuff out and it's so refreshing to see the raw process.

Art, in a world where we are spoiled for choice with artistic content I can happily say yours is my favorite. The peek under the hood and the transparency of the back and forth process. Such an inspiration!

SPOILERS FOR HOLLOW KNIGHT LORE I think the biggest point for me and the majority of people in the story, is the reveal of just how many siblings were killed trying to find a hollow knight, there were millions, all dead and haunting the abyss. Than the knight the plae king thought was hollow was really a failure because he had one will, one thought; make his father proud.

Please don’t be so hard on yourself, it looks perfect to me and about 99% of the people watching I’m still new to the channel but the sculptures I’ve seen are just incredible! Keep doing what you’re doing and don’t be too hard on yourself
  • The green clay version with the red clay postules made me feel like hed turned to stone ages after defeating the radiance's infection, while the red red clay looked like the postules had dried up, i loved both of the versions, amazing piece

i love how genuine he speaks about his creative process. Its nice to know that when making art im not the only one who struggles with order of operations.
  • @Biffiee
Not every piece needs to hold deep artistic meaning. Sculpting a character just for their design, story or anything else really is absolutely fine. You said yourself you lernt a thing or two in the process and that's a very nice bonus!
  • @ArtaWorks
You're one of my main 3 inspiring sculptors. It's thanks to you I got myself some clays to test out and learn traditional sculpting. Staying digital is like being afraid of progress so I have to take tackle this and get better.
  • As someone who’s favorite Hollow Knight character is The Hollow Knight I absolutely LOVED this piece. It is amazing and it shows exactly what The Hollow Knight went through. ❤❤❤ Amazing work!
  • @fancytomatoes8996
I know it’s been 1 year but as a hollow knight fan I applaud you for your amazing work
  • @merlinsbeard7253
Man does not understand Hollow Knight fans, homie you could've smacked down a lump of clay and stuck two sticks from it and called it the hollow knight and we would've loved it! "Don't judge me too hard", simply preposterous. Truly this thing is incredible and I will now stay up way too late binging all of your videos because oh my gosh<3
  • @Eclipsed_Dream
I love this take! And I really wish I found this sooner so I could tell you that the Hollow Knight actually is missing their left arm thanks to the infection. But I like to see this as before they lost their left arm ^^ it's a lovely sculpture!
  • I don't think I've seen you paint, like ever... so congrats to getting back to painting 😁 Painting and sculpting are two very different skills that can create amazing things when combined. I hope you'll paint again soon, and the Hollow Knight looks awesome, Hollow Knight fans will approve 👌
  • YO SAME WITH THE BACK RIDGES! I never did finish my sculpture of them, but something that I personally love a lot about this game is that the simple artstyle allows for a lot of personal interpretations to shine through when doing more realistic art of them. I went for a sort of xenomorph body with lots of lapping chitin plates and back spines because I thought the idea of something that looked like a monstrous, terrifying creature actually being fundamentally good and kind at heart (even though they shouldn't be) fit the lore well. I love your interpretation too, it's a really awesome blend of human and bug that looks neat as hell :) (Also I feel terrible to mention this given how much trouble the cloak section was, but they're actually missing one arm- the Radiance rotted it off)

This is how I get the feeling of professionalism from a YouTube Creator - haven't heard the call to subscribe in the first four minutes at all, just went straight into the sculpting, with beautiful skill, talented presentation, gripping commentary, skillful information and I immediately knew I belong to the subscribers list from now on <3
