How I get laundry done with 6 kids! | Homeschool Mom

Wow! Finally someone who does laundry like I do. Thursday is even my laundry day😂. The only thing I do differently is my kids laundry days are spread out throughout the week. They are each assigned a day. I just switched to tide pods after watching Jordan's video and it has been a game changer. Laundry detergent has been my biggest issue with my kids doing their laundry. We have a front loader and it works great for kids. I'm on my 2nd one. It took nearly 12 years before my old one started to smell. The trick is to leave it open when not in use.

My kids use a pair of kitchen tongs (that have been designated for laundry) to help them get the clothes out of the washer.

I have a 14, 9 and 2 yr old. We dont really seperate our laundry by person and I've been doing the "load a day" method for a long time and my older 2 help or do it by themselves a lot. I'm really wanting to switch to them doing their own and having their own day to do it, but just haven't made the switch yet. Any tips to start this at 9 and 14?

Oh my gosh… I know in my head that the older kids can do their laundry but tell me why the feeling of guilt guides me? Aaarrggh my “ older” kids are 17 and 16… I really have to let go off the reigns
