So... for maximum scum: have an elite or star player play in 4 easy games their freshman year for monster stats. Think 750 for reciever, 500 for rb, 1250 passing for qb. Then redshirt. They will get a playing xp bump. And a second freshman player training (the in game use). You'll have rs freshman start at close to 90 or better if you have the motivator tier 3 abilities.
  • You don't normally get to do a second persuade attempt. That's a coach ability that needs to be unlocked.
  • Pro tip: you can also make positional changes during the season by going to edit player.
  • I got WR Nyck Habor from South Carolina and RB Baxter from Texas in my ECU dynasty. First game harbor popped tf off with 500 yards n 7TDs 😂😂😂
  • As a person who doesn't watch as much CF I new this crash course on Red Shirting 😅. Didn't want to let the other Dynasty competitors know 👍.
  • Well done Fendler. I've been doing all the exact same things in my test dynasty. One thing I wasn't expecting was losing my OC to the carousel. Gotta check it each week to see if someone gets poached.

Just a small correction- the green arrow during player progression means their overall is boosted due to you or a coordinator’s boost in the “Tactician” Field. Besides manually writing overalls and certain attributes by hand, there isn’t a way to see overall/attribute improvements that I’ve heard about.
  • Great video, was getting frustrated with the off season play, trying to equate it with the old College Football game. This answer tons of questions and finally explained Redshirting to me. Thanks

When you switched your OLB from right to left, his overall bump was probably because of his player type changing from coverage to speed rush. Coverage backers, even bad ones, tend to get ridiculous bumps in pass rush after a season. Like from 50 to 80. Unfortunately it can also glitch out their skill page on the view player screen, so you can't see that page. So now I only switch coverage backers before their freshman year, so they progress better as coverage backers.
  • Solid content! Love the aggressiveness with redshirting players with better overalls. I would definitely consider reshirting a higher overall, if I wanted them for an additional season or if I was hoping to give that player a better chance at getting drafted in a better round (or drafted at all).
  • Watched another persons video on scheduling and getting visits. If you set up your board and use points correctly, you can have visits in week 3. I had 4 week 3 and 3 for week 4 in year 3
  • A couple things have happened to me in an offline I started day -3 and am in year 5. I’m alone? - Players poofing off my roster altogether when I changed their weight and gear during the change positions phase. I had 97/85 players when I got to the suggest transfers but the guys never came back on my roster. - Guys poofed off my roster when I changed their gear. If your player’s accessories are a whole different color than your team colors, that is the last time you’ll see - If you change a player’s position in the edit screen AFTER the change positions stage, the guy’s overall will get NUKED. I had a 90 fs I wanted to play strong after the other starter graduated. He lost 3 gold abilities and went from a 90 to a 84. Same thing happened when I moved a mlb to olb, he went down like 4 points. - whole depth chart gets auto reset when a single player gets hurt?
  • One of the few problems I have with dynasty besides all the bugs, is when players are drafted. I feel like players are solely drafted off of overall, I think stats and awards should also play a huge role in a players draft projection.
  • We need a more in depth look at coach abilities. Pipeline bonuses seem like they'd be OP but nothing tested. Off-season progress bonus is enticing but is a 3rd tier of 8 point bonus and split up by position
  • I personally am a big fan of being aggressive with the redshirts (if the situation applies). Example: online dynasty with some of my friends and i started as Syracuse. At QB they have mccord a few other guys and senior Michael Johnson with 92 speed. So i redshirted mccord so i could have the dual threat this year, have Mccord next year and RS the freshman QB i bring in. Thats a perfect situation. But also sets you out a couple years so you can maximize the athletes you have when you have them. I say go for it if you can, you might set yourself up for a plan/ situation that just might give you an extra year at certain position groups that other teams might not.
  • I had multiple freshmen improve 15 to 20 overall. However, many starters, only a couple, and now some of the previous starters are worse than the previous freshman. My starting fs last season was a 74 now a 75. A 62 freshman fs i redshirst is now an 82.
  • I was this morning years old when I learned you could use multiple persuades on a player.
  • U can schedule visits way before that, the more contested a prospect is the faster he narrows down to top 5 and the faster he signs. Had a few week 2 visits but 3-4 is usually the safe zone for the 5 stars that aren't just being ignored because the game is broken
