“Sometimes to love someone, you got to be a stranger.”

I have been a huge fan of Denis Villeneuve for years now after I discovered his cinema with " Prisoners". I've wanted to work on something from him for a while now. I chose Blade Runner because these movies represent something unique to me and I can't even put the correct words on it. The second movie sumptuously photographed by legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins remains to me one of the most beautiful movie I have ever seen.

Thank you all for being more and more on the channel. Know that I work hard and will work harder to produce more and more videos in the future. Let's keep going together as always, I love you all.

Kills me that Villeneuve said he's never doing a film like that again because of how underappreciated it is by the mass market, he's just sticking to easier to absorb concepts for the wider audience appeal. 2049 is absolutely slept on

"You look like a good joe" was for me the saddest scene of the movie, realising he was not special
  • It's a shame that a masterpiece like this fails, but we get 9 fast and fourius movies
  • @Pandiac
This movie was a masterpiece that not enough people saw and it’s a shame.

this movie murders me, man. i think its so relevant even today with how lonely we all are when we are more connected than ever. when she says "you imagined it was you? aww.. you did? we all wish it was us" i was jus hurting with him, man.

"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die." Still makes me cry now, what an amazing actor, what an amazing scene. Such an amazing movie.

The perfect video for the one of the most underrated movies of all time.
  • I was born on October 6th. I saw this movie on the midnight release in an empty theatre. I will never fucking forget how this movie made me feel. I left the theatre, backed against the wall and let out a breath that I felt like I was holding in for the entire film. Then I sat on the side walk with my head in my hands and sobbed. For 5 minutes. I have never ever ever felt that before in my life. That was the greatest experience of my life. Thank god for cinema.

Harrison Ford's quote, "Sometimes to love someone... You gotta be a stranger..." is far more significant when you have to be a stranger for someone you love.
  • It pisses me off to no end to think we may never get another movie like this because people rather spend money on ridiculous nonsense then on real work of art.

" Dying for the right cause. It's the most human thing we can do. "

this movie really made me wonder what it is to truly be alive, if a movie leaves you with an existential question you know it was good.

"I've seen things you wouldn't believe" I think that sums up much of your work, Slyfer.

This film communicates something incredibly deep and nuanced, and there are certainly parts which will illicit different conclusions from different people. For me, the film is saying that, we all long to be special in some way or another. We feel that we are missing something, and if only we could just discover it, we would be happy, and our existence would be validated. K believes for a long time that he is special - and he is worth something in the world, but the true crux of the film is that he realises that he isn't, and that he was never the 'main character'. But the beautiful conclusion that is reached is that your existence is valid and important, simply because you are conscious. You can feel emotion, you can feel the cold snow, and there was never anything else that you needed to be or to have. Existence = Identity.

K is easily one of the greatest characters ever.
