That "metal doohickey" is a jack, used for a game called jacks. It's not just one of those old timey games your grandparents played either, there's depictions of it inside the Pyramids in Egypt and possibly a prehistoric cave painting. It used to be played using the ankle bones of sheep and goats. The spinner thing is a gyroscope. It's like a top, but you can also balance it on its tip completely sideways and it won't fall.

Man that close-up flower gave me an amount of nostalgia I didn't even know was achievable. I literally had to pause the video and walk away from the computer for a couple of seconds to sit and think about it.

I had no idea, I live in the area that’s from, Wonderland amusement park in Amarillo. Hell, the place was my first job. Never got to work that ride specifically myself, and unfortunately I can’t recall the time before they repainted the coaster to be red+blue opposed to white. I’ve rode that thing countless times, though. That profile picture was always close to my heart when I was younger, and it’s kind of crazy to know that it was taken just a couple miles away from me and used so frequently.

What I really love about everything from Windows XP to Windows 7 is the whole nature theme or everyday life for most of the backgrounds or profile pictures. They all feel so calm and relaxing same with the glossy backgrounds too, everything has this simple yet comforting feeling that reminds me of summer maybe it's just the feeling of nostalgic but I do miss little things like these when it comes to Windows as a whole. The backgrounds, pfp, games, other media like pictures, videos and music being already a default on when you first get them.

I remember me and my brother beefing over the profile picture because our parents gave us an ultimatum to have a shared account on our first PC because they just couldn't be bothered to make us two and we were too lazy to make our own.....so it was literally war time whenever one of us used the PC after the other. I loved the astronaut and my brother always chose the skateboarder if anyone wanted to know over which two we fought over the most.

These metal walls creak. A masquerade of divinity. A sound in the distance? No. Only a scream. No light no sound. No memory. Fate does not feed the children to the dogs. We do. I feel so silly! :P

Jsyk the "metal doohickey" is a jacks from the game Jacks! It's a really old game I played (badly) as a little kid. Basically you have a container full of jacks and a small rubber ball, you kneel and spread all the jacks on the floor/ground, then you bounce the ball and try to pick up as many jacks as you can before the ball hits the ground again. I love old computers, There’s just something about looking at an old computer that makes me want to have one. Frutiger aero and old pfps are just absolutely immaculate, Frutiger aero is a style that truly captures the point of joy and happiness in someone’s life. Which is why I always have a frutiger aero on my current computer, I even have one on my phone!
