Join me for a 26 hour call shift and find out what a day in the life of a doctor is really like!

This Saturday I'm on call with a wonderful team of residents and medical students, admitting patients from the emergency department to hospital and managing emergencies in the hospital.

Today there were TWO code blues over night. These are medical emergencies attended by doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and anesthesiology.

What happens in a code blue?    • DOCTOR Explains CODE BLUE EMERGENCY

  • Just came across this video now so it has been 3 years since it was made. I do want to say that the young lady who was doing the recording is probably well on her way to being a very good physician. Tremendous personality and ability to relate to those around her. Wish all doctors exhibited the same qualities.
  • I love how encouraging you are with the students....I can’t say it’s the same from my medical placement
  • @celivalg
Oh my, you are always smiling, that's incredible, you have such an happy face, that must be amazing as a patient... Been in ICU paralyzed for a week, had a wonderful team around me, and honestly having people smiling and bringing a good mood around you helps a lot, and I mean a LOT! Thank you for being so joyful, all your patient will love that expression!
  • Her chill attitude and polite way of talking is a thing to see. So calm even in such tense environments is awesome..
  • @CBForsen
Never lose your kindness! So many old timer doctors become jaded and flippant. Love your personality ♥️
  • You are so pretty, and I love that you smile through your whole shift! I am sure your positive attitude is very well received by the patients you interact with! Never lose it, we need more medical professionals like you!

  • You can really see that she's very passionate about her job
  • @IzzyKDNA
I LOVE how educational your videos are! It took forever to receive my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome diagnosis. Seeing docs who are committed like you gives me hope that patients under your care will have great care and receive accurate diagnoses, whenever possible <3
  • @asliyase
Gotta say this seems like a very positive work environment.
  • I just found this channel - literally in love with it. She seems so genuine about everything, not overdramatizing anything. I love studying human biology and human anatomy and want to become a forensics investigator in the future (medicine has crossed my mind lots as a kid). I’m currently finish grade 12 and I just want to say that I REALLY appreciate this channel.❤️ Doctors, keep doing what you’re doing. I love you all for what you do.
  • @tyrandnyx
I know I’m late but this is important ❗️ Most of the things are like recreations, she films when she can and definitely wouldn’t film if it could delay getting a patient help. ❤️ she doesn’t need any hate she gives up a lot of her personal life in order to make sure people are safe! Ty for listening 😌
  • Don’t ever lose your passion! The world needs more doctors like YoU!!
  • I usually don’t watch videos more than 10 mins, but your videos are interesting and fun to watch! I’m a nursing student and I love that you show how health care professionals work together
  • You’re doing a great service for medical students or students aspiring to get into medical field. Keep it up!
  • Cute, intelligent, compassionate, and a great personality?! Wow I STAN!
  • @hqishere7
Thank you so much for making these videos! I’ve suffered from severe anxiety for as long as I can remember and am now dealing with a lot of chronic health issues, and medical things and emergencies are my biggest trigger... somehow I stumbled upon your channel and watching your videos in my safe space where I’m in control, has really helped so much! Thank you for all your hard work 💗💗
  • Thanks for inspiring me even more I have wanted to be a cardiovascular surgeon since I was 7 and I am 13 now but seeing you pursue your career in the medical field has really inspired me to become a cardiac surgeon I love learning from your videos it teaches me a lot that I can use later when I’m in college
  • As a premed in Canada, I watch all the American doctor's channels but it's really nice to finally see a medical channel from the Canadian perspective! I also really like how you discuss your diagnostic process with us, very educational and interesting!
  • Seems like a good hospital, very clean and they get to the patients quickly and returns calls immediately
