Want to learn how to play Dhalsim but don't know where to start? Confused by all the combo videos and waffle? Don't know how to YOGA good? Well this is the tutorial for you!

First off I just want to point out that Dhalsim isn't a combo character, he slowly whittles down his opponent's life with long range pokes and punishes when they get impatient. He also doesn't really have "easy" combos so even his "beginner" combos are quite tricky. With that in mind...

In this tutorial I cover what I believe are the core beginner combos to learn before going on to learn the more complex hit-confirms, link combos, drive rush combos etc. It is by no means an exhaustive list, the idea is to find the easiest most effective combos. I also cover a prime to Intermediate Combos, Jump-Ins, Punishing and Anti-Airs :)

**SHORTCUTS**
Dhalsim uses the HCB (Half Circle Back) motion for Yoga Flame and Yoga Blast. A shortcut for this is to start from df (Down-Forward) instead of f, e.g. df d db b or df QCB. Unfortunately this doesn't really help Dhalsim as his most useful cancels are from b or db.

**YOGA FIRE**
In SF6 Dhalsim can now charge Yoga Fire by holding the punch button to basically turn it into OD version. This cannot be done with OD version.

**YOGA BLAST**
Can be a good punish however must be used point blank or will miss.

**METER USAGE**
Dhalsim can extend combos with OD Yoga Flame that will also lead to Lv1 & 2 Supers. Otherwise probably will only use Drive meter for Drive Impact and full range Drive Parry for fireballs. When you get more comfortable with the game you can start using Drive Rush and Drive Parry for predicting and countering attacks.
When it comes to Supers, Dhalsim can combo Lv1 & 2 Supers from OD Yoga Flame. Lv3 can easily be combo'd from Yoga Flame or Fire. So it's up to you whether you want to save for Lv3 or use Lv1 & 2 when you have the opportunity.

**TELEPORT**
Luckily they have changed the teleport motion making it much easier and quicker to do. iAT (instant Air Teleport) is still possible if you do uf f+PP for example. Take some time practicing teleporting low to the ground where j.HP will still land.

**SUPERS & CRITICAL ART**
Yoga Inferno (Level 1) - Has 3 different versions depending on the button used. L does the least damage putting down a carpet of fire. M does the most damage. H does a little less damage than M and shoots upwards working as a good anti-air.
Yoga Sunburst (Level 2) - Also has 3 different versions changing the trajectory. It can also be charged to deal more damage.
Merciless Yoga (Level 3) - Critical Art version at 25% vitality or less for more damage.

Any questions about the video, character, game, etc. then please leave a comment and I will do my best to answer :)
