I resonate with the majority of these. 8 days sober now, life is better than ever. Keep up the good work man.

Looking great bro! Skin is super clear and your face isn’t bloated from the booze. That’s progress. Your body is healing. 40 days sober today!! I too struggled with drinking alone, not knowing when to stop, making people around me worry because of how drunk I would get compared to them. I would always become the drunkest at the parties to the point they no longer wanted me around anymore. Super sad past man but I’m committed to change and healing and bettering myself now

Great video, man! Love hearing your honest experiences and it does help others who get tired of the "clinical" types of analysis.

YEAH! Picking the booze over friends and events. That's such a big one. Glad to see you talking about this, this is really useful stuff for people who are worried about how much they're drinking. If you're ditching obligations to drink then you need to take a minute, because you 're on the edge at that point. Thanks man.

Interesting to hear the confidence in your voice as a youngster that just stopped recently . Not complaining just fascinated

It's so helpful to hear this from someone your age who's been through this shit. It doesn't hit the same from a therapist or person of authority. Much love :)

Looking amazing, you got this!! Alcohol is not our friend! 💪
  • Another sign you're becoming an alcoholic is a reduced gag reflex. When it used to take you 10, 12 drinks to throw up, now it takes you 20, 22, etc. Worse yet, is when you throw up MULTIPLE times in the same bender and KEEP going. That's NOT normal. Most people throw up once then pass out. If you throw up 2, 3, or 4 times in the same bender...you have a problem.
  • Jim Morrison from The Doors was my guy! My dad too. My dad died so young. I’m almost older than he was and I’m DEFINITELY older than Jim Morrison.
  • This was exactly me in the beginning. I ignored the feeling, but I think I also knew that it was going to become a problem. Never wanted the party to end and never went to sleep. Only passed out. And suddenly, I'm in my mid twenties and have no desire to do anything that doesn't involve alcohol. Thank God I can say with confidence that I'm done with that chapter of my life. Thank you for always being so candid and for sharing the hard truth. I hope that these kinds of videos help people avoid the pain that many of us here have been through and the medical turmoil that can come with the disease. I hope that you and everyone in this community have a wonderful weekend!! ❤❤❤

A big thing for me was when I'd have a live show to go to I used to be like "Awesome, I'm seeing a cool band tonight and I can have some drinks too." That soon changed to "Awesome, I get to be wasted at an event and listen to music at the same time". The alcohol became the central thing I would look forward to. The same thing with holidays. Instead of being excited about being a tourist, fun food, shopping, seeing the sights I was more excited that I could drink as much and as long as I wanted without having to sober up because I didn't have to go to work.
  • Solid video brother. Keep up the good work (inside and outside of youtube) !

Slayer. Hello. Your channel is growing!!! You’re doing a wonderful thing here! I’m proud of you 👍🏻. Great video 🎉💚👏🏻
  • I knew I was an alcoholic 10+ years before it really became bad. I drank so much more than everyone around me. They are falling asleep as I am smashing double vodkas and wondering why they were so soft. When you abuse alcohol, your body starts using it as an energy source so it becomes a stimulant for you. God bless you bro, stay sober, stay happy.
