    I love listening to the 1978 version, and then follow up with this one. I love the fact that John Carpenter modernized the theme, but still kept it classic. 💙🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

    The thing about this version of the theme, if you experienced any of the John Carpenter soundtrack concerts in the past 10 years or so, he was already doing this heavier version of the original theme, so this movie gave him the opportunity to fine tune something he already was doing. With many of the other tracks on the soundtrack, if you pay close attention, there's a hint of "Halloween" sound to, but layered with it are hints of other classic 80's horror themes, many of which John Carpenter is tied to. He literally was able to do a compilation soundtrack and tweek the themes to make them anew again.

    I saw this in theater on its premiere night, the place was packed. When this theme played, it was so awesome as well as the rest of the movie. This felt like I was seeing a sequel that everyone's been waiting for since 1978. The movie was awesome and to have been there to see it on opening night is an experience I will always remember.
