Doing Our Part to Keep Our Trails Clean | Revenue Flats Trail Clean Up

Published 2023-10-26
Keeping our local trails and public land open and available is up to us! If we practice Tread Lightly and Leave no Trace guidelines, these amazing places will be available for many more years to come.

This area is right in our backyard and has seem some heavy use and abuse over the last several years. Even through the Bureau of Land Management cleans this site up frequently, trash still piles up from campers and recreational shootes.

We were blessed to be able to join in on a cleanup crew with the BLM and local volunteers to do our part in keeping wild places like this open to the public.

Not sure where to get started with educating yourself around how to recreate in public lands in a sustainable way? Check out these websites below:

I am a firm believer in leave no trace! When out hiking or camping I always bring a small bag for trash that you might find and hopefully you don’t have to use it . Tread lightly friends 🏕️ 🥾
  • Awesome video as always XO Crew. Thank y'all for all y'all do to help keep trails open so people can enjoy them for years to come.

RESPECT THE LAND! That pretty much sums it up. Just RESPECT THE LAND people! Have some common courtesy. It seems that every time I venture out I end up picking up someone else's trash at a campsite or just along a trail. Don't be part of the problem.

RESPECT THE LAND... I love the outdoor, hopefully more and more people more aware to the kind like this. Thank you.
  • I will never, ever understand how people can leave SO much crap behind. Thank for exposing this, once again.

Grateful for the people and companies who spread awareness like this. Hopefully you will impact others to help keep public land clean and open for everyone to enjoy.

Great job everyone! I like the positivity that you bring to this episode. So often it's all gloom and doom. It's the private groups that are the ones that keep these places open with good deeds like this but this isn't the only thing to do. Be involved in calling your legislative representative to make sure they know what you are doing and they should fight for you and keep these places open. There are certain groups that are just itching to pounce on situations like this and start the closure processes. Don't let that happen! Work with groups like BlueRibbonCoalition and others that really are involved in keeping these lands accessible and public.

Happy that Mr Croft is back from his African adventure! I'm sure he had the most fun time there & I can't wait for the next season!

That is awesome! I have been doing that since I was a little kid. Always leave no trace and leave it better than you found it. Love it! I once was at a pretty public area and right by the trash can was a pile of cig butts and trash. It was disgusting so we picked it up. ❤

Love this! I would totally be down to do an annual cleanup of this area. I personally have used this area, sad to see the distrucion happens on the weekends from my college peers.

You can’t convince me that Eric and Clay aren’t brothers. Not a chance.

Who the heck leaves their trash out in the middle of nowhere? It always amazes me that people are so disrespectful.
