I think people (including Wildes and Brou) are missing that Nick isn't saying Travis is/will be the most famous football player in America. He's saying the most famous American football player in the WORLD. I feel like a lot of folks underestimate how famous Taylor Swift is internationally.

Only oldheads know about Jim Brown tbh. I think Caleb Williams could end up being really famous. NFL players have to be special personalities to be famous even after they retire. Travis Kelce's been on SNL, tons of commercials, maybe a movie/reality show on the way, obviously there's the Taylor Swift relationship. Not a hot take from Nick.

Wildes and Brou seem to be missing that the NFL is really only popular in the USA. Taylor Swift is global. From my time living abroad way more people know about Taylor Swift than Tom Brady or Mahomes, and it’s not even close. If anything, Kelce is more famous internationally right now.

I volunteer at a small church youth group in country town in regional Australia, and every one of the girls in that group and plenty of the boys, age 12-17, know who Travis Kelce is now. we know why and it has nothing to do with football...Broussards surprise is just symptomatic of how insular American sports and sports fans are...
