Oh my, lovely Perth, capital of Western Australia.

History says: It was founded in 1829 as the Swan River Colony. Within one year solid masonry buildings and structures began to appear all over Perth, with some of the largest and most intricate in Fremantle. A majority of these early buildings are said to have been constructed by the “Inmate Workforce” of Western Australia.

Most of these priceless buildings were severely damaged by Earthquake in 1968, and/or destroyed, partially demolished or forgotten through time. Here is a brief photographic compilation of some of the more interesting images I found of Perth, WA, Australia. Thanks for watching! 🇦🇺

These buildings are obviously weathered and old when they had supposedly just been built. I am from Australia so this video is of particular interest to me. Thank you so much for your amazing research!

It just doesn't make sense to destroy such amazing and intricate architecture. It's almost blasphemous! No wonder there are only 7 wonders of the world when in truth their were hundreds to marvel at!!! Shocking💥

Those unskilled convicts sure knew how to create architectural wonders from their cells.
  • The mansion at 2:20 is in Galveston TX, USA. I just subscribed. I love the visual evidence of the old world and how ridiculous it is to believe the narrative. 👌

  • My Great Great Grandfather was a soldier of the 51st K.O.Y.L.I. that sailed to Perth in 1840. I dont have a photo of him but like to think he's in one of these pics. Thanks for sharing.

Great video. Some information/location/names captions would be welcomed.

What's with the "pre-earthquake" reference ? That's a bit misleading - the earthquake referenced at the end of the video was centered about 130 kilometres from Perth. I was in Perth that day in 1968. Minor tremor only. To read the video title you'd think that all the old buildings in Perth were destroyed then - nothing remotely like that happened.

Great vid. Excellent selection of photos. Hard not to see the abnormalities - new town on an undeveloped continent, so where did they get the material and skilled labor to build this up. Keep up the good work
