The International Space Station is the largest man made object in space. It was built in pieces and then launched into space and assembled in orbit. In this video we'll go over some background about the station and then walk through each module in the order that it was assembled.
This animation took a long time to make - enjoy and please share your comments with me!

The 3D model used in this video was purchased from TurboSquid.
I made a few modifications such as rigging panels and adding Dextre and the Candarm2 but otherwise it's the same.

Just in case Zarya - Dawn Poisk - Search Zvezda - Star Pirs - Pier Rassvet - Sunrise Nauka - Science Greetings from Russia
  • I cannot believe that they were able to put this Station together. It seems so mind blowing to just create a floating building basically in a place that has no way for humans to survive.
  • @fabulog7010
I love how all of the modules have super formal and scientific names, and then Canada has "The canadarm" and "Dextre"
  • @geekdiggy
i'm not leaving here without stating what an amazing animation that was.
  • I am still impressed on how they assembled this in space, this proves humanity's limits are endless, from making tools with stones, to landing on the moon then assembling a space station in space is amazing.
  • @FunkSoulBubby
Just took my daughter out to watch it pass over tonight and she watched this video and loved it. Thanks, man.

I see no one here talking about these absolutely amazing animations! Must’ve been a lot of work. Much appreciated :) Edit: Somehow this comment sparked a war between flat earthers and sane people. If you're in for a good laugh, read the reply section below :)

This was a great video and explained everything so well. I've known about ISS for so long but never once looked up anything about it. It's definitely one of the coolest things humanity has ever created. I hope it continues to get funding and more countries who have been developing their space programs recently get involved.
  • Jared, well done ! You taught me how all ISS Modules were assembled ,I even watched it several times in order to understand them, thank you.
  • @kelpo9699
1:21 ah yes, the standard unit of measurement, a football field
  • @kaffii
America: uses scientific and advanced names for the modules Canada: we'll give ya a robotic arm and name it canadarm, get it? canada and arm?
  • @Eggmerr
They took "team work, make's the dream work" to a whole other level
  • @karlmarx1423
“This definitely isn’t your average Lego set” it is now lol ❤
  • @coolnoah8183
America: We have added another piece to the ISS Russia: But does it have a docking port?
  • @llenny_uwu1398
I like how everyone else had momentous names for their modules, like the US with Unity and Japan with Kibo - Hope, and Russia with Zarya - Dawn, and then theres Canada with Canadarm lmao 😂😂

Great job and Thank you Jared for your wonderful animations. Creating this animation takes a lot of time and effort. with the power of Unity can truly achieve great things.
