Hydrogen On Demand (HOD) is getting a lot of attention these days. And why not? Gas prices going up, the economy tanking, major upheavals in the global oil market. We need a solution, and we need it now. But is HOD that solution? Let's find out.

  • I built my 1st HHO generator in August 2020 and installed it into a 1999 Ranger with the 2.5 L4 engine. Drastic improvement in gas mileage, approaching 40 MPG using both. The truck spit out soot for close to 50 miles on that first run.The truck can run on the HHO system alone and has when gas went over $3.50 Gallon here in Southeastern Kentucky. Keep in mind that Southern Kentucky is a dumping ground for low quality fuels by all of Big Oil. I ran the Ranger from Jan 2021 until Nov 2022 on HHO alone, until gas dropped below that $3.50 mark.I recently replaced the generator with a home built dry cell type with more than double the capacity of the old one. Still runs like it has a 302 BOSS V8 under the hood. 221000 miles on the OEM engine and upon visual inspection of the piston tops when I replaced the plugs, no carbon build up. Scientifically done or not, I know it works and works well.

There's a music montage of him driving... He literally has a music montage in the video.
  • Thanks for showing me how to use a gas pump, been trying to figure that out for about 25 years now.

Hi. Did you have to install any electronics like a Chip or Efie to adjust a A/F?
  • @jarr5648
How can one tune the ecu for Hho? Being as the less fuel readings by MAF or O2 sensors will eventually make it send more fuel thinking it’s running lean….

Did u install any of computer manipulating devices or just run the hho gas into a vacuum line? Thanks
  • A good suggestion on the fill up. Stopping as soon as pump kicks off the first time is extra important on newer cars because fuel will find its way into your evap. Canister and purge valve causing starting and idling issues. Thanks for the info.
  • We need to get our cars running 100% on hydrogen ! Let's give the oil companies a good ass kicking !!!

I’m confused, is this a fuel replacement or merely a supercharger that replaces the air intake with hydrogen? One video I just watched made it seem that the gas was replaced by the HHO while this one appears to be added as a supplemental fuel.
  • @Healitnow
Speaking of freezing does this have to be removed in winter or has a way been made for them to work....like an antifreeze or something.

I'm supposed to be studying for an exam.... How TF did I end up here? Lolololololololol.

The system I'm using is a homemade version I installed in September of 2008. I periodically have to replace the stainless steel wires, but other than that, it's still working GREAT. Just did a 500 mile road test this past week in the NC mountains, my overall results (highway, local and parkways) was 25 mpg. This is the "Mason Jar" design (stainless steel wire as the electrodes, 1/2 tsp baking soda in distilled water as the elctrolyte). There are much newer models available commercially.

hour should also make sure the tire pressure is good on all 4 tires

What I would like to know is if you're building a Brown's gas generator for hydrogen extraction especially to help improve fuel mileage in a car where do you tie it in to get into the engine? The only place that only makes sense without any extraordinary fabrication would be the line that goes to the PCV valve creating some sort of tee off of it to tie into that system so that engine vacuum will suck it in as it is sucking in any other gases that come through that system otherwise to me it seems like more fabrication would be required. Furthermore I was curious if any reprogramming of the engine control computer was required. It would certainly make some degree of sense if there was. I know newer vehicles have the ability to adjust on the Fly but the one thing I wasn't certain of is if any manual adjustment or reprogramming required if the various data values exceed certain operating norms. To me this is extremely fascinating I've heard a few detractors out there say don't waste your time on this calling it worse than snake oil and other things but to me anything that helps reduce one's consumption Independence is worth a try considering how we're getting scalped these days at the pump. Btw the website listed here, I don't know if it's been hijacked taken down or what but I tried to click it it was coming up with some other junk completely unrelated.

To reduce driven time and wasted fuel. Wait till your on dead empty to test. Fill three two gall cans and take them with you. Drive until it dies. Put one can in and drive with out hho until it dies. Record mileage and time of trip. Put second can in, turn hho on and drive until it quites. Record mileage and time of trip again. Put in third can and go fill up the vehicle somewere. Check you results at home. Be sure to use cruise control on each test.

I can tell you it absolutely works I was out to prove it was bs so I built an Overkill hho generator and fabricated brackets to hold a couple generators belt driven by engine for plenty of power so there would be no excuse for it not producing enough power for the hho producer and to my surprise the engine ran on that alone no gas at all I revved it up drove it around the yard and then took it all down because I believe the catalyst I used in the water for conduction (sodium hydroxide) would destroy the metal in my engine but I must say to my surprise it worked
  • @prescottc4628
Where in NC are you and how much would you charge me to install one of these into my car?
  • @phenamenol
thought he would have filled up ..turn off the hydrogen system and drive to see how far he went ..then repeat the process with the hydrogen  and compare ...that would make more sense
  • On Fords especially look for and remove any air restriction between the MAF sensor and the air intake. On the 2.3 and 2.5 engines, there is one there. Take it out. Replace that paper filter with a conical Racing air filter. Increased air flow and those are reusable and cost the same OR LESS than the stock filters. I also installed a PCV Oil Catch Can and a coolant filter, using a remote oil filter relocation kit put in the inlet of the heater core. Cleans the coolant of the gunk that builds up. PS NEVER USE A FRAM OIL FILTER IF YOU VALUE YOUR ENGINE.
