Certain forms of experience put us into powerfully restorative states, similar to sleep.

Non-Sleep Deep Rest is supported by such studies and can be done any time of day or night to rapidly reset our ability to calm, focus, and, when needed, ease the transition to sleep.

Please post comments or questions below about your experience with NSDR.

  • Great process. I appreciate Dr. Huberman recommending your link.

This video is the gold standard for NSDR❤
  • If you are reading this, it doesn't matter where you are right now on this planet, I wish you a wonderful night and a happy and peaceful life where all your dreams come true. Love you all!

Currently studying at university and I literally do this at least 3 times a day between my studies. At this point I can’t go into a class without being refreshed from NSDR. It’s the perfect reboot for my mind and body, I no longer feel the drag of the day catching up to me! Thank you for this godsend
  • I use this daily. It gets more powerful the more you use it. I’ve shared it with everyone I like, and those I don’t! 🤗🙏
  • Thank you Lex & Andrew. These folks are changing the world. Thank you Joe. Love and peace
  • I have never made it to the end of this video, I will do this everyday

"...and now, focus on the sound of Costello... gently snoring in the background... when you are half as relaxed as Costello... your NSDR session... is complete..."
  • This is so good! I had so much anxiety around going to sleep and it helps me every single night. Thanks Dr Huberman for talking about this!

This is an ancient Indian yoga practice that one does after doing yoga! It's called Yoga Nidra

This is awesome. Around the 7-minute mark, I fall into a state that is very similar to sleep. However, I think it's simply a state of deep relaxation. I say this because as soon as the narrator announces that the video ends, I always get back to an alert state

I've bounced around different NSDR videos but this is now my favorite. I like it for the good and consistent audio quality, the speaker speaking in a non-forced and normal voice, lack of music, and most of all for the speaker staying with me throughout because I tend to get lost in thought when there is long pauses. NSDR has been a game changer for my racing mind. Thank you so much! Andrew Huberman brought me here and I'm grateful for both your channels 🙌

This is the best nsdr recording I’ve come across. Thank you.
  • @blademontane
Did this for the first time today 40 minutes after waking. Heart rate dropped down to 48bpm during, very relaxed, ready for the day

What is this sorcery. I’ve been struggling with chronic insomnia for a year! even with medication I wasn’t truly sleeping. This video sent me right into deep sleep. Thanks. This is life saving stuff. I’ve tried other guide mediation videos and they don’t work.
