I bet you never had chicken like this before

Hands down, one of the best ways to cook a whole chicken. A beautiful, pineapple throne chicken with a crown! Talk about a showstopper. And we made a delicious pineapple salsa withe the leftover pineapple. It's the perfect summer dish.

  • Tried this a couple of months ago. I'm no longer allowed to cook whole chickens any other way! Absolutely delicious!

This is a great recipe, thanks a lot! Only thing I did a bit different was smoke the chicken on the Traeger for about 60 minutes at 225 for about an hour, then cracked it up to 350 and let it roast another hour. Fantastic, thanks again! BTW - Your IG page is great too!

I like your videos, but this one is a waste, and I'm not trying to impress anyone with looks. I impress by what's going on their mouth. You could just get a can of cubed pineapple and put that into the cavity. It will be held in by the beer can or whatever you want to put up the base. I always put the chicken over direct heat for about 30 min. when cooking like this to sear the butt closed holding in the juices. Then indirect heat to finish. It will still steam the same flavor even though it will be very little.
