It's finally here — 60 Minutes of Useless Information about TotK! It took me countless many more hours than one to research, write, record, and edit this video, so I hope you enjoy. Tears of the Kingdom is a super fun game, and I think it gets a bad shake because Breath of the Wild came first and Nintendo focused more on gameplay than story, but I had a a blast creating this series. This is the series finale. Maybe more useless info someday, but for now I'm moving on to other video ideas. Thanks so much for watching and reading!!

Raid claims another victim, glad to see you getting sponsors though!
  • It would be so cool if there was a room in your tarrey town house that let you display all the useless trinkets you collect from quests like the well globe, hestu's gift and all of the medals.
  • Listen, I need the light root medal, because I was convinced that I’d found them all at least three times only to not get it, signaling to me that I had missed another AGAIN. That medal is my friend. It lets me finally rest

Man, this really makes me sad that TotK isn’t getting DLC. I mean, I totally understand why, it makes total sense, but what I wouldn’t give for a nice hearty DLC pass…

The Goddess Statue one at 12:25 is actually not entirely correct. The Gloom dispersal occurs every time you BEGIN interacting with a Goddess statue, it doesn't reoccure if you continue the dialog. But if you pray at a statue for stamina or a heart container, and then quit the dialog, and interact with the statue again, you will see the gloom animation again!
  • 20:10 Though it's not 100% certain, we have a pretty good guess on Zelda's last name through King Rhoam's full name of Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule. Yes, that does mean Zelda's full name is Zelda [Insert middle name] Hyrule but that's the best we have for now.

fun fact: to my knowledge, there are 4 lightroots that arent exactly below their shrine counterparts on the surface - the three labyrinth lightroots, and the kawakarut lightroot in the west. my best guess as to why that lightroot isnt directly under its shrine counterpart is that the shrine on the surface is on the edge of a pond, meaning that the area directly under it would be surrounded, if not inside, impassable wall.

The most absurd item I could find to fuse is the sand seal statue behind the gerudo town throne room. It’s only movable due to the fact you can access the shelter through it, but I was surprised to see it could fuse considering most miscellaneous items used for quests could not fuse.

42:36 We don't know who transformed into these dragons. There's no reason to think it was the goddesses specifically who have been the most abstract beings in the whole series. Zelda transformed into a light dragon, Ganondorf a dark dragon, these could perfectly have been sages or some sort of mages with a penchant for a specific element. In fact a stronger suggestion is that the new elemental tunics in TOTK belonged to these individuals.

For the fact about the king’s grave Why does age of calamity being non canon have anything to do with it being referencable?? It’s pretty clearly an AoC reference. BotW and Totk reference tons of past Zelda games despite their dubious canonicity to the BotW and totk timeline, It’s fine lol

21:20 the Light Dragon remained in the heavenly realm above the clouds waiting for Link until it descends in the cutscene after Link sends the Master Sword back in time at the Temple of Time

37:51 I feel like literally no one knows there’s another bed Link can sleep in freely, even if you don’t count the one in lookout landing. In Zora’s domain at the location where you talk to Sidon in BotW to initiate ride-on-Sidon-shoot-shock-arrows-at-Vah-Ruta, there is a random bed nearby, and Link can freely sleep in it. It’s in both BotW and TotK. Still think they moved in together though.

In the mini stable fact is funny cus in the end we see a backround npc saying: "That's odd" 🤣
  • If there’s ever a TotK sequel, I hope it brings back the twilight or something. Maybe underwater exploration and more sky islands as well! There could be 9 dungeons and could be more linear. I’d love to see the city in the sky to return!
  • The eyes on the wall appear to move because the pupil is set back in the eye socket. It's the same way Disney creates the affect in the Haunted Mansion. You can test it yourself. It's a fun project. Just take a Styrofoam cup, cut off the bottom (leave about half an inch), and then draw a dot in the middle. Leave it on its side, on a table, and then walk around it. Look at the dot. It will look as though it is turning with you.

22:13 wait what? Is this considered obscure? Is this footage from Reddit the only thing that exists of this online? Basically, what I can say is that the full mural appeared for me once I completed the Dragon's Tears quest, which makes sense as two of them depict scenes only seen in memories. I liked watching the whole thing after a play session. What I would find rarer and unexplained would be that sometimes, the title screen would show a completely black mural at random, with only the wall pillars remaining. To my knowledge, this is an inconsistent bug, and it is similar to another one showing a completely black map after you exit to the main menu sometimes.
  • The thing about the dragons is a common misconception. They are divine spirits who work for the gods and can only be seen by those who are pure of heart, wherein they take the form of a dragon. There is no evidence to suggest that they are the result of Draconification, nor is Draconification ever suggested to be the only method by which dragons can exist.

20:09 unless zelda is married already, her last name should be 'Hyrule' as her father's name Rhoam (something beginning with B) Hyrule

Thanks for continuing this series! The comparison of tower launch heights was interesting, and that Zelda-bass edit can't be unseen. 7:56 In addition to the Great Plateau shrines, there is also another Zonai shrine that can be seen for a brief moment in the "Birth of the Demon King" cutscene down in Gerudo Canyon at the exact spot where the Jee Noh shrine appears in BotW. There definitely seems to be some kind of deliberate connection between the Sheikah shrines and the original Zonai shrines. 34:01 I was also very confused at first about why the shirt wasn't obtained before the game's title was played, but I think they wanted to ensure Link was shirtless for his first skydive in order to make a parallel with his last one in the game's finale. It also may have been to help teach the idea that individual armor pieces are found by exploring different caves.
