In this video I'm sharing a full tutorial of one of my favorite tech tools of 2021! Classroomscreen is a free web tool for teachers to help with classroom management. It allows you to display everything you need for your lesson from one screen. This makes it a great option to use in the classroom or while teaching online through Zoom or Google Meet.

It has been a long time since I've been excited about a tech feature. Thank you for showing us the wonderfulness of using this app. I look forward to playing with it for my 23-24 school year!
  • Hi, great tutorial! I would use traffic light if I am working one on one or testing a student. If RED it means do not interrupt the teacher, YELLOW means use your judgement, interrupt if neceassary or have no other choice or raise your hand, GREEN means ok to approach teacher.
  • For the stop light, just after watching the video I had this pop into my mind: If I’m working with a small group green would be okay to ask me something, yellow would be ask me only after you’ve asked two peers first, red would be so not interrupt my group unless emergency.
  • New sub here and I am so nervous about all the technology, this is so helpful! Thanks!

Thank you for all of this. And the other videos as well. I know you're not quite getting the attention you deserve just yet but hang in there. This is great content. Give it awhile to get noticed. I eventually found your vids so 10s of 1000s are sure to follow.

Thanks for the nice overview - but I wish you had shown more of how to do each step. I need to embed a google slide show - you made it look so easy but it was too fast for me. I tried just dropping the share link - doesn't get it there. There's evidently a secret button - but I can't find it - and the Classroomscreen Help resource doesn't cover that...

I have a paid account and I pretty much exclusively use it for the group maker (I teach 8th and 9th grade math). Honestly I feel like it's worth the $30 a year just for that.
  • I use a stoplight in my class for phones. Red=Absolutely no phones, Yellow=You can use them for music or the activity we're doing, Green=Phone Free Time.

Great tool. So far it has solved some of my classroom problems. Im still learning it though
  • I have a way you can use the traffic light thingy When you’re working with a group press green when The other students can talk to you but press read when you’re working with the group and cannot talk

Trying to embed but the codes don't work/ connect to you tube. Also, I don't know if the version I am looking at is newer, but the embed, photo and video widgets are all separate now I like your version better. The new one makes the screen more cluttered.
  • I was wondering can I use this app to make guided reading groups and when the timer goes off the groups with switch but the students will stay in their same group from the beginning??
