I love MBTP too. I used it for a year with a friend when we first started homeschooling. And you’re right about doing them in order in order to get the LA in line—like Gather Round. Gréât vidéo as always!

Thank you I've heard of this but know nothing about it, very thorough review
  • Yes I rotate the science and social studies units and my kids become obsessed with the subjects. We don’t do all the bush work but use it as a spine
  • @GinaRLacy
Alright, you’ve convinced me to try this! My son wants to read The Sign of the Beaver and I’m snagging the set. Thank you for the thorough explanation.
  • We finished the Poppy unit at the beginning of this school year and we loved it! My son doesn't really like reading and he was actually asking to read that book. I would highly recommend doing the owl pellet dissection that is scheduled in. It was definitely a highlight.
  • Great video! In their Language Arts Units that you have used, have you found their spelling to be sufficient? Or do you supplement spelling?
  • Hi, thanks so much for sharing. When I went on the website, I don’t see the teachers guide in the photos of what’s included. I can only see it in the samples. If I purchase an entire la level, where is the teacher’s guide/guides please?

Have you done a science unit? I got the magnetic one and was very underwhelmed. I may have to try out their literature units instead.
  • Do you think it matters what order you use the lit units? Could we use one scheduled for the end of the year and an early one later on if it lines up with our history?
  • @momofmany6619
Could you do MBTP as a family read aloud and a family unit? We have a wide age range, so that’s why I’m asking.
  • I love MBTP and are using our 3rd year of them. I don’t like the quality of graphics on worksheets. I also don’t feel they go into much detail explaining things. A lot relies on me to know how to explain and teach things. I agree, their website is super confusing and not user friendly.
