1986 was the year Thrash began to really dominate but there was still a lot of awesome Heavy Metal. My choice for 1986 would be Crimson Glory's self-titled debut. Absolutely phenomenal album.

Happy birthday Trenches. My birthday year was 2004, I remember it as a year that gave to us GTA San Andreas & Half-Life 2. From the musical albums I can remember Mastodon's Leviathan as being one of the major sludge metal albums, and also Pig Destroyer's Terrifyer which is a cult grindcore classic. Lamb of God's Ashes of the Wake is also a good pick, but I'm not a big fan of their music even if I do love me some groove metal. The Dillinger Escape Plan's Miss Machine is a decent mathcore pick for me and one of my favorite albums in general, so here's that Let's not forget about the fact that Dimebag Darrell was killed in December 2004 during the Damageplan show

1986 was an amazing year for metal! I sure wish there was brutal metal from my birth year 1975. Maybe Black Sabbath Sabotage? 😅
