In continuation of my "Short Takes" video series at All City Auto, I give a tour of a 1998 Cadillac Deville D'Elegance. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Better Call Saul! I miss my '98 Deville. I had a '06 Impala & bought my '98 'Lac off my aunt, and that's still an upgrade! Unfortunately with 235k miles on it, it kept setting me back financially, so I had to let it go for a '15 Nissan Altima S. And then I got rid of that & upgraded again to a 2008 Cadillac DTS. I'm back in the Cadillac game!

1999 Deville was the last year for the Classic taillights. I love mine. I've been very lucky no issues out of it. I travel with it at no more than 70-75 MPH. Has 116.000

I love how the gas tank goes from 8 gallons to 7 gallons after a few revs 5:30

I love my 1998 Cadillac DeVille! This car is not only exceptionally smooth and quiet.. everything you would expect from a Cadillac.. but with the Northstar V-8, Magnasteer, traction control, and automatic ride control.. just to name a few.. It's ready when you need it handling and impressive list of standard luxury features are so understated you need to drive / know one to appreciate it. It's both relaxing and exhilarating. Go for it.

This is actually one of the last Cadillacs with a glimpse of a Good Ol' Murica on it. The latest models are trying to bring that feeling as well, though.

I used to own the exact car 💯 I survived many blizzards in upstate New York with that Tank 🔥💯🔥 a wonderful Caddy. 🔥 they don’t make them like that anymore 🤩

Thank you Kyle. I enjoyed this video. It was great to see the features and more.
  • Had this exact same deville in the exact color and trim. Loved mine. Wish I still had it.

Nothing sounds better than Northstar engine revving up or a Cadillac horn blowing!

Also, the extra 25 horsepower that the concours has makes a difference. This car has amazing take off for a 4000 pound car, but it really shines in the mid range and high speed range. Doing 60 mph on the highway and nailing the gas to the floor will press you into your seat mighty hard and there aren't too many stock vehicles out there that will pull away from it. It's hard to believe until you've experienced it. The new ones with the 550 horsepower must be heart stopping. LOL
