Will The Garand Ping Betray You?

Published 2022-09-05
The M1 Garand was an iconic battle rifle of World War Two, Korea, and into Vietnam. It was rugged, reliable, and gave the General Infantry a higher firepower output. Despite all the pros, the legend of the ping spawned that it would give away the fact that you were out of ammo. Now disregarding the blatant tactical fallacy's of this theory, I wanted to test if you could actually hear the M1 Garand Enbloc clip. This test was done for everything to favor the possibility of hearing the M1 Garand Enbloc Clip.

Step 1: Buy a type 99 with AA sights Step 2: Buy a drone Step 3: Film a video trying to shoot down the drone Step 4: ???? Step 5: Profit
  • Legend says they could here the pings even when mg42s are being fired so they could clearly tell which American to fire at and not have tinnitus
  • @IzWolfPack
“You just shot eight rounds of 30-06, everyone is deaf”
  • Some dummy: The ping will kill you. Chad: I can’t hear a damn thing over this gun fire!
  • @Goblinshaman
No one wore hearing protection so... the "ping" probably didn't mean much.
  • @timallen6035
I find it highly unlikely during wartime conditions that anyone really heard that ping.
  • @BeefyRider
There's a scene in "The Steel Helmet" where a squad of US troops are shooting at North Korean or Chinese snipers and each GI is taking turns pinning down the snipers and you can faintly hear the pings after the shooting. It was pretty neat from a cinematic perspective.
  • War is so obnoxiously and violently loud that you can't even hear yourself think at times. let alone your enemy would be ever able to hear, locate and react in time to that wimpy little "ping". This meme should appear ridiculous to anyone who has ever witnessed a firefight, especially when any sort of artillery or mobile guns are working. Great channel, outstanding content. Cheers from 35th OBMP, Odessa, Ukraine!
  • Lou Sassle is probably one of the best names you have ever come up with
  • @GrimnirReaper
This is my favorite comedy skit channel. The guns always look so realistic.
  • @Shipey95
I could never hear the pings on reloads. Been playing Hell Let Loose on PS5 so I’m an expert on the matter.
  • I think the sound of a 30-06 is gonna give you away plenty 😂
  • @thelore2755
This intro slapped harder than that 30-06 going through that kraut
  • And the Oscar for the best headshot scene goes to administration results. But seriously, the cinematography is just getting better and better everyday. Keep it up.
  • @hermitgreenn
Yes, I'm sure the ping gave their positions away and not the loud supersonic gunfire.

More vids like these! I love When guntubers take the science into their own hands with practical testing and evidence. Unlike our state approved science these past two years

Lou has really come a long way since his correspondent/hostage days...so proud of him!
  • The ping lets your enemy know youre empty, but your buddy putting a .30-06 in someone chest when they try to rush lets the enemy know not everyone was empty 🤣
  • Kids: "Mom, can we get Garand Thumb?" Mom: "No, we have Garand Thumb at home." The Garand Thumb at home:
