Knox County investigators walked into a house of horrors Nov. 28, 2016. Prosecutors say Joel M. Guy Jr. is the one who created it.

Guy, 32, is charged with plotting his parents' murders and then savagely following through -- surprising Joel Guy Sr. and Lisa Guy the Saturday after Thanksgiving in their Goldenview Lane home, attacking them with a knife and them cutting up their bodies for disposal.

When detectives went to check on the Guys' welfare, they found body parts in bins, on the exercise room floor, in a pot on the stove.

Guy was arrested the following day in Louisiana. He's been in jail ever since.

Someone in prison will wipe that smirk off his face
  • Lisa's supervisor was very impressive. She knew something was wrong based on Lisa's past performance and personality and she did not let the matter drop.
  • I'm glad Jr wore that clear plastic mask so the jury could see all his narsasitic smirks.

It looks like Jr will not have to worry about paying for his own room and board! 🤨

That poor dog too. The heat, and the smell. Their sense of smell is soooooo much stronger than ours, it must have been a nightmare for him. Let alone the trauma of seeing his owners murdered. I've often thought if only pets could talk . It's also so eerie to see a killer on surveillance footage at a Wal-Mart buying like, cleaning supplies or a murder weapon, think how many times you've been at Walmart running errands and that you yourself may very well have stood in the same aisle as someone who had just taken someone's life and was buying bleach etc. to cover their tracks and clean up. Gives me the chills. Or when you see footage of the victim. Say your the cashier who rung up the moms purchases. It's so creepy and sad.

Is it my imagination or is the defendant SMIRKING????

So sad seeing the groceries at the bottom of the stairs knowing she bought those items with Joel in mind. And look at what she gets from him. Poor parents.😣

I can't begin to imagine the fear and horror these detectives experienced finding the crime scene. I'm sure it will forever be etched in their minds. On a side note, why did the judge mention jurors names?

He is such a homely, weird, gross monster. It breaks my heart that these two, sweet, hard working people who were still madly in love, were about to retire and live their dream, only to be murdered by their OWN lazy, dependent, soulless son. So so heartbreaking. He's so infuriating. How could you, and in the way he did it?! He is a true monster.

At 53:30 he literally looks like he’s trying to stop himself from smirking as she says he turned them into some sort of “Diabolical stew…” I’m just so disgusted by this repulsive horrible sorry excuse for a human being. This is pure evil!!!!
  • My God. This guy is BEYOND effed up! Just looking at him and his reactions to the testimonials and pictures sends chills up my spine. There is something SO incredibly wrong with him. There isn't a human soul inside of him. It's something else.

This sick SOB is smiling and laughing through the whole trial. He is reveling with delight at how his "handiwork" is being described. He's been planning this for a loooong time
  • @wasupsquare
Jr is kinda liking all of this.  He has  no remorse or regret! This is his time in the sunshine.
  • They died because they couldn't afford to support their 32 year old any more. My parents helped me a lot when I was younger, for which I am always grateful. But after i graduated from college it was just the done thing that you got a job and supported yourself. I helped my son in the same way. This family seemed like loving, family oriented people. The Guys died horrifically, knowing who their murderers were. I hope we get a chance to hear a psychiatrist testify.
