  • What I like about One Piece the most is the fact that it has an ever-growing world, and in turn it feels alive. There's always something happening throughout the world which ends up being important for the story. Oda is an incredible storyteller.

I like how nobody wanted Kizaru to become the fleet admiral.

I do love the scars Akainu got, it showed the battle wasn't one-sided.
  • I like how when luffy hears Akainu became fleet admiral he immediately touched his scar and actually pronounced his name correctly instead of giving him some nickname like Lava man or akai no he knows Akainu is dangerous and perhaps even is a bit scared of the dude himself at the very least he should have some nightmares

I like that for once, Luffy was actually paying attention

They definitely used awakened devil fruit powers. Thats why Punk hazard was in such a state.

I honestly love the fact that Luffy gets sick to his stomach when Jinbei tells him Akainu won can’t wait for those two to square up

The only reason aokiji was against sakazuki being in charge was due to his actions as a vice admiral and calling the buster call on Ohara.

The idea of Aokiji and Akainu having an epic face-off lasting an entire 10 days which changed the climate of the island permanently is cool and all, but it's also super weird when you think about it. I mean, you would expect that in any normal organisation, ultimately the higher-ups would make a decision about who will become the Fleet Admiral, and that's that. So for example, Akainu is picked by the higher-ups and Aokiji decides to leave the Navy because he can't stand to be under Akainu. Which gives essentially the same outcome as the story. But instead the Navy allowed Aokiji and Akainu to have a fight to the death to determine who gets the position. Like who does that? If the higher-ups wanted Akainu for his more driven temperament and Absolute Justice, it's weird that they would allow him to be potentially killed by Aokiji, the less favoured candidate and then give Aokiji the position instead.

Imagine they killed each other and Kizaru becomes Admiral lol

It’s amazing that a fragment of a story is told in One Piece and it generates 1.5 million views. And ppl got the audacity to call OP wack. Bruh this manga/anime sets the bar and raised it. And this isn’t even Oda’s final form

This shows how strong Aokiji was because he was able to contend with Akainu for 10 days even with a DF disadvantage.
  • Even if you hate him, you gotta admit that akainu's devil fruit is perhaps one of the strongest in the logia class. He is such a lucky bastard to have eaten it and not some pirate or god forbid revolutionary

When two powerful warriors are seen fighting, it will last hours at most. But when we don't get to see it, it can last days. Ace vs Jinbei lasted 5 days Akainu vs Aokji lasted 10 days Kaido vs Big Mom lasted 3 days (stopping only to join forces)

When luffy hold his scarred chest and angrily said "Akainu", luffy really does have quite a grudge against him
  • One piece has by far the most depth. So many characters and places that are important to the overall plot
  • @rosePetrichor
Luffy actually listening to a story for once since it's about the guy who killed Ace.
  • @emmiiirrr
Aokiji losing is probably the best for the world. Imagine if Akainu lost and left the navy… he would be collecting pirate heads like crazy. Thats basically a yonko level character that isn’t laid back on some island but actively sailing around the world and killing pirates
