JEWISH Christmas Dinner?! | How To Make A Chinese-American FEAST At Home!

Eating Chinese food on Christmas is damn near as American as apple pie. It’s a fact, Jews have been eating Chinese food on Christmas since the early 20th century. The two groups were often pushed to the outskirts of American culture, but the Chinese and Jews found solace in one another during Christmas, a time of year when it could be easy to feel out of place. Regardless of the history, Chinese-American food is dank. Sure, General Tso’s Chicken isn’t authentically Chinese, but what does that matter? Chinese-American food was created by grizzled Chinese immigrants with a dream to build better lives for their families; the food that they created for the American palate is a direct expression of their hard-work and ability to adapt. Okay, I’m done… sorry egg rolls just really fire me up. Let’s cook. 🤘🏼 Adam

And as we all know, the rendered duck fat is a holiday present in itself. Not only is it considered one of the royal family of cooking fats, it's also quite valuable. You know how much that stuff costs at the supermarket?!?

I went onto Snopes to see if that famous Internet picture is true. Apparently it's an urban legend. It's the one that goes: "The Chinese Restaurant Association of the United States would like to extend our thanks to The Jewish People. We do not completely understand your dietary customs...but we are proud and grateful that your GOD insist you eat our food on Christmas. Happy Holidays!"

Meanwhile for next year, you could do the popular Japanese tradition of having fried chicken on Christmas.😏

Thanks for the video ❤🇺🇲✡️✝️ Just a note though - Jews have been in America since colonial times. The Sephardic community has been here the longest, many converted to Christianity over time. Thanks 😊👍 Happy Hannukah 2023 🕎 Merry Christmas 2023 🎄

Happens to be, the only thing outright not kosher is the shrimp. Everything else can be found kosher, besides maybe the cooking wine

It’s Pee-King not Peck-in. It is a westernization of Beijing.
