It would be super silly of me to be bothered by someone having a fake bag.

The fact these bags can be faked and sold at a fraction of the price just shows how much the luxury brands are ripping people off. Yes quality and materials might not be the same but some dupes are pretty good. I’ve wasted so much money on designer bags and, as a 50 year old, could have bought another house or a luxury car with what I’ve spent. My advice is to only buy if you can afford it plus other important things and don’t necessarily turn your nose up at a dupe!

Who cares what someone has or doesn’t have. It doesn’t make you any better than anybody else. Real or fake. It’s nobody’s business unless you’re paying their bills. I think some people are just butt hurt by the fact that they spent $5,000 on a handbag and anyone can get one that looks identical for a few hundred bucks or less. Stop worrying about stuff that doesn’t matter.

😂 sounds like folks have figured out how to keep their money for themselves instead of making rich folks richer just for selling the same item through a boutique. Smart 🤔. Now that’s freedom

I have a special edition Neverfull and it actually has the opposite effect—people assume it’s a fake because it doesn’t look like the standard version!!

I have never been concerned about if others have fakes and replicas, unless they are trying to pass them off as real to sell them. I also don’t think replicas and dupes are that horrible as they push brands to be innovative (the classic monogram print was created in part to fight off counterfeiting) which benefits us as design lovers. I guess I can understand folks not wanting the same bag as others, but if it’s a good handbag it would make sense that more people would want it, authentic or not

A bag shape is not copyrightable, only the logos and certain techniques. It's not a problem to sell a similar shape as long as you are not trying to sell it are an original, which is then actual counterfeiting. I, however, will buy and wear what I like with no regard to what other people are wearing.

So Companies like Balenciaga would add a heel to croc or Loewe with broken egg heels, or chanel having a “trash bag” as a handbag… Many of this high end companies are charging outrageous amount of money for what?? Unoriginal ideas and why even care if someone carries a rep/dupe… Geez

I’m just surprised at how bothered you seem on whether or not people decide to carry fake bags or not like who cares what they spend they’re money on!!

So, I can’t even tell the fakes anymore 😬 Is it just the fact we are seeing more of the bags around that we assume they’re fakes? Some are obvious….but not all! Especially lately 😟

I really don’t care about people using fakes… if I like it, I buy it. I don’t care if someone else is wearing the same thing and just paid 10% of the real price. Im not that bimbo 😂 thinking that people fakes will have any effect on me! 😂 my only concern is buying prelove and buying a superfake thinking is real and paying 2k to 15k for a fake.ñ, but other that than… I really don’t care… You do you boo! 😂

This subject has me torn, part of me understands why a fake could be good for some people who wouldnt ever be able to afford a real bag so fake it till you make it kind of thing an fair play to people who dont care an go out without a care in the world they have a fake… however the only gripe i have personally is when its a bad fake, for example when the LV monogram print isnt symmetrical or when the channel logo is wonky.. i feel almost pained by it lol.

Gosh I see soooo many fake and dupes of the Marc Jacobs the tote bag here now! Either they have the straight up fake or a dupe that just says “the tote bag” without the “marc jacobs” name under the logo! I don’t necessarily mind fakes or dupes as long as I’m not looking to buy a bag and someone is trying to pass off a fake as the real thing. That’s what pisses me off the most and you can’t really trust resellers anymore.

Meh… I’m my own person, if I like it, I’ll get it. Worrying about what others are doing has never been my style.

Dior replicated a supermarket shopping bag in making the book tote…honestly in NZ the local supermarket makes shopping bags that are more durable and just as pretty!

Thanks for the video. I will say that fakes have been around for yeaaarrrrssss. I think it’s just brought to light now because of social media. I’ve seen LV and Chanel fakes and know how to get them if I wanted (Asian community) since like the 1990s. So it’s nothing new at all. If it seems a lot maybe people are just more aware with educational videos on authentic vs fake versus before. I wouldn’t let fakes and replicas change my mind on purchasing a bag or not. If I like it, I will buy it. And the fakes are never the same as the real ones. If people can’t afford it and are happy with replicas, to each their own. My favorite bag is the classic flap. Next is the Kelly, then birkin. I know many Filipino aunties that have replicas to all. And it doesn’t change my mind on them. If you look at the Asian community NEARLY EVERY LUXURY BRAND bag has fakes, including business affinity and trendy cc

I don't mind others wearing or using replicas or dupes as long as mine is authentic. I am happy with my authentic bag, and if some are happy with their fakes, I am happy for them.
