Meet the woman who is best friends with a huge critically endangered EAGLE with a two-metre wing span.

Animal keeper and eagle trainer, Lohwana Halaq, has such a close bond with Sinag, the Philippine eagle, she is able to train him and even sit with him to pose for selfies despite the species being highly territorial and aggressive.

The pair first bonded when Sinag, who is now five, was just a year old and is now known as an 'mal-imprint eagle' because he sees Lohwana as a surrogate mate and interacts with her in a way which would be unthinkable with anyone else.

They were introduced after Sinag was born, following a successful captive breeding programme at the Philippine Eagle Foundation where Lohwana works.
