This was Magnetohydrodynamic generator (MHD) test firing #57.
The generator pulls electrical power out of a rocket engine or allows us to significantly increase performance by putting electrical power in. It allows us to run the engine in two modes. One for thrust and the other for power generation.
In this test we used two rocket motor as a plasma source to see if they would combine electrically as a plasma.
This test is part of a hybrid chemical/electrical rocket engine program. The engine is being developed for the Ascender Orbital Airship program. Changing the nature of space travel.

I cannot see how your electrode design is expected to pass current through the plasma. It would seem to me that the point is to pass significant amperage through the ionized particles, which would require a set of blade electrode passing down the length, with a voltage potential set to pass the electrons and a length long enough for the electrons to reach the far side before the magnetic field dropped off (which should depend on the speed of the plasma moving through the MHD thruster.

Hello im thinking about building a fusion reactor that can absorb all the energy this exact way ( my way was a better way but hey reply
