Daemon would rather die than be sent aid and I absolutely LOVE that.

I loved killing the crab feeder off screen. It's like the show is straight up telling you to look for your series villain elsewhere, it's not this guy, it was never gonna be this guy.
  • I don’t care what people say, the scene of the knight getting crushed by the dragon after thinking he was being rescued was hilarious
  • The convo between Jason Lannister and King Viserys was phenomenal. Paddy Constantine is simply amazing. Jason Lannister got scared as hell once Viserys pressed him 🤣 If only he could be that stern with everyone else around him and not be influenced so easily because of his kind soul.

Laenor might not be Targaryan, but he roasted his uncle alive with that "What role have you played, uncle? Other than Master of Complaints" 😂😭
  • @olly123451
Lionel Strong continuing to be the realest person in the room.
  • My immediate reaction to Jason Lannister was "dude, Tywin would have hated your guts, you have no finesse whatsoever"

I work as a sub at a middleschool, and some of those kids can go from looking like little children to 30 and paying taxes in a span of 3 years, so laenors rapid aging is not too out of place here. Sometimes puberty can hit like a truck.

People are only upset and shocked by all the long time jumps because they are forgetting that we are watching a long extended prologue to the real story that the show runners are trying to tell, which is the dance of the dragons civil war. If they had started the show right at the beginning of the war we wouldn’t care about anything or understand the back story. I’m glad they’re doing the timeline the way they are.

Viserys had the misfortune of being born a Targaryen, for all of his flaws he is the only Targaryen I would invite to lunch

Blew my mind with that Sansa quote about turning wishes into dreams to make them more impressive and prophetic. Wonder how many Targaryens did that? Wonder if this whole Long Night prophecy was actually that?
  • Paddy Considine and Matt Smith are just acting their hearts out, Paddy is giving Viserys soo much depth and character it's fantastic, Matt Smith steals every scene he's is he's feared and loved at the same time, He wants his family to have all the power

I don't think Laenor saved Daemon...I think that was the plan all along to draw Craghas out.

I actually loved the moment when Daemon squished his knight, as awful as that sounds. It immediately sets the tone for this conflict overall and tells you that Daemon is not here to save anyone. He’s only here for blood.

The Mountain really did Ser Hugh of the Vale a favor by beating him so hard he travelled back in time and became not one, but two Lannisters.
  • Other than Viserys losing his fingers, it was also visible that Crabfeeder's Greyscale had been getting worse, causing him to even lose his eye.

To the question the chatter raised about why Caraxes wasn't in that final battle, I would assume that it could have easily been there, had they wanted it, however without Daemon riding and directing it personally, it's likely that it could/would have caused a significant amount of damage to the Velaryon forces too. Whereas just having Seasmoke flying around and burning shit in a much more precise manner was a lot more effective. Also, had Caraxes been there, I doubt it would have had the restraint to let the events develop to the point where the Crabfeeder sent out all/the majority of his boys, and would have attacked much sooner to protect Daemon, but also making it so the Crabby bois would have stuck in their caves
  • I really appreciate the fact that Alt answered the repeated questions and repeated explanations of theories for anyone who missed it, I imagine it can get annoying and I feel like other people would just skip past it. Idk just something I noticed.
  • For me, the scene with Viserys killing the stag gave the impression that it was representing himself. Caught in a snare of power, unable to move in any direction, helpless and strugging. It was almost like giving the killing blow to himself, especially with the very unsettling music in the background and the focus on Vysery's face and expressions.
