Currently, there is no cure for tinnitus. However, Sound Therapy is one of the most effective ways to reduce your perception of tinnitus and to relieve some stress. Recently on a trip to the West Fork trail in Oak Creek Canyon, I noticed my tinnitus go away completely when listening to the stream of water passing over the rocks. The moment was so gratifying, I decided to record it for this video so you could experience the same relief!

Since from college I have problems with tinnitus, but this video helped me to hear literally nothing, that's also because on Shirlest I found how to drastically lower the ringing.
  • I hope everyone reading this knows we’re all in this together and we got this

I've had tinnitus for 4 years. First 6 months were absolute panic and anxiety, almost suicidal. Eventually I became ok with it, although I cannot ignore it. I play a masking sound 100% of the time I'm indoors, night and day. I have it just below the volume of my tinnitus to try and coach my brain into ignoring it. I've been using the same mask for about 2 years but recently my tinnitus volume increased and the masking stopped being effective. Thankfully there was no panic or anxiety, even at night which is much worse. I just switched the masking sound to this one and it seems to work quite well. For those new to tinnitus, don't be ashamed to use a masking sound and I assure you the anxiety and panic will pass.
  • Im 19. Don’t remember a time when i didn’t have tinnitus. All i can say is you learn to tune it out. Sometimes it gets louder than you can ignore and videos like these help those long nights
  • These comment are helping my anxiety. The feeling that im not alone.

I essentially didn't sleep for a whole month when my tinnitus started. I had muffled hearing along with hyperacusis. I wanted to jump off a bridge. Thankfully, it got better, and most times, I don't even notice it, and when I do, it doesn't bother me. For most of you, the same will eventually happen. It gets better, and it won't bother you. Just hang in there and know this too shall pass.
  • I’m new to this. The ringing started months ago. I assume it wasn’t anything at first. But now it’s more intense. I started having dizziness and vertigo few weeks back. Doctor said I had fluid build up in my ear. Told me to take antihistamines to dry it up. This noise is getting louder and louder. I don’t remember having a peaceful quiet moment. It’s filled with this ringing/buzzing sound. I can’t put it words how to describe it. I find sitting in the bathroom with the vent fan on helps. This ringing is enough to drive someone crazy. I forgot what silence is.

Ever since I started fasting and reducing my coffee intake, my tinnitus has decreased by a lot and I mean a lot to the point where I can sleep without asmr or background noise but I do still find myself here every now and then cause it is truly relaxing.

Had tinnitus for way over 30 yrs You learn to cope is all I can say.
  • I've had tinnitus since being in a horrific car accident in 1991. In those days without internet the way we have it now,I would sleep with a ticking clock under my pillow or a transistor radio. Different sounds work at different times, dependent on the pitch of my tinnitus. When it's really bad and deafening,it's really high pitched,so I find the neuromodulation sounds/videos are great at those times, otherwise rain, waterfalls, streams, ocean sounds, wind, fans, and one of my favorites on YT are the ticking clocks!

i’ve had tinnitus since i was like eight or so. It’s not as bad as people in this comment section have it, but some days are worse than others. I can fall asleep if im listening to background noise or a podcast, but without it, isn’t gonna happen :/ we got this
  • It's so relaxing. Wishing those who read this comment have relaxing moments. Lots of joy in life. A peaceful and warm Christmas.
  • The only one that really worked with my tinnitus. Thnkyou Dr Cliff. I am 77 years old and this tinnitus was a real nightmare for me. Now I sleep with this sounds imagining that in on holidays close to the river ; and I wakeup fresh and sharp.
  • Longtime tinnitus in both ears. I remember the one time in my life, years ago, when I experienced pure, delicious silence, up in the Quetico on a canoe trip. True silence isn't an absence of sound, as if you were deaf. Rather, it's a complete absence of anything that triggers your analytical, logical thinking mind. With nothing to label or categorize, your mind slips into a deep, fully conscious state of profound rest that is impossible to describe (and impossible to induce). You can only experience it. And only for a few moments. But oh, those moments are precious and unforgettable.
  • This is the best background noise for ear ringing i have found. And double bonus there is a 10 hour version . Thank you!
  • I've got tinnitus for almost 5 months now. There are days, in which the noise in my ear isn't so loud. But today it is stressig me so much, I found this video and instantly felt a relief, cause I cannot hear the strange noises anymore. It helps me a lot, thank you very much😭😭
  • Thank you for this 10 hour version! I've had tinnitus for 20 years. It recently got much worse with a different sound altogether. This recording has taken the fear out of going to bed. Now I can at least get a little sleep.

Been listening to the 5 hour loop since I was hit in the head and have had tinnitus for almost a year. Please give me strength to be strong and not let my tinnitus take my happiness and peace away. Thank you for making this video. I sleep to it every night. For just a few moments I don't hear incessant ringing in my ears.
