Thanks for having me on board Strider! I like how I’m always included in the darker episodes hahaha

I personally find it funny how Sesame Street and just decided to make "the first homeless character" but Oscar the Grouch has been living in a trash can for over 50 years

Big Bird doesn’t give in to peer pressure. He doesn’t care if he looks funny or bad in other’s eyes. He gets through sickness with heart. He is a kind, loyal friend. Big Bird is my role model.
  • "I don't view autism as a mental illness" As an autistic person, for some reason, this made me smile. Thank you.

For the voice for Big Bird: There is a special place in Heaven for him

'Is this the hospital?' 'Yeah!' 'Well, I still don't feel any better.' ... Dang.
  • @Conman9310
why is big bird always the lightning rod of abuse and suffering in the series
  • That last one actually made me feel sad. It's actually kind of sad seeing these characters go through so much emotional pain even in a show that's usually bright and cheerful. But honestly, I think approaching a dark subject like death in such a way is actually a good way to teach kids about it. Because it demonstrates just what happens when someone dies and how their families deal with the loss. Death is just one of the things kids need to learn about in order to understand the world better.

Seriously though. Those emu's are a public menace! We even lost the Great Emu War to them >_<
  • @shedandcabbage
i was chased by an emu last week is probably the most Australian thing I've ever heard
  • If you ask me, Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood handle dark subjects the best.

I like how in the hospital episode nobody sugarcoats the fact that getting a shot does hurt. Because there are a lot of episodes of kids shows that try to play it off like it doesn't hurt that much or it doesn't hurt at all, but here it seems like Sesame Street is not trying to hide anything about how much shots can hurt. They don't play it off like: "Oh, that didn't hurt a bit!" We actually see and hear Big Bird say "Ow" and crya little bit. So I'm glad that they didn't sugarcoat the fact that shots hurt.
  • First homeless character in sesame street is released Oscar the Grouch: am I a joke to you.
  • @carnivallegf
Big Bird is one of the purest creatures in the entire universe and needs to be protected at all times.
  • You know, I've never viewed autism like that before. I guess I never thought that it's not a mental illness, it's just a different way a brain works. I'm surprised it's never crossed my mind before. Thanks for addressing that.
  • @LilQ_Official
"I don't consider autism a disease, nor a mental illness" I consider your existence as respected even more now. I don't know if that makes sense, but what I'm trying to say is thank you for clarifying that

"I don't view Autism a mental illness., but rather simply a different neurological wiring." - Josh Strider
  • Mr. Hooper's death episode really hit me so hard because that reminds me of my grandmother's death last week. She died from stroke and my Dad was in grief. Big Bird is relatable for those who lost someone's love.
  • ''Bigbird was coughing, wheezing and struggling to breathe'' sounds like bigbirds's got asthma my friend.
