How does Wastewater Treatment Work?

Published 2021-03-31
Wastewater treatment is an essential part of modern infrastructure, and it's function is simpler than you might think. Take a closer look at how wastewater treatment plants work and how your waste gets turned back into clean water that you can drink.

[UPDATED VIDEO] This video has been edited with new animations & better audio. Watch the original here:    • How Do Wastewater Treatment Plants Work?

Just randomly searched this because I suddenly realized I didn't really know how it worked. I was enthralled. I'm not even high.

As I have a MSc degree in civil engineering/water and environment, this vedio was so valuable 🙂 thanks for sharing

Wonderful wonderful I adore people when they do good for society respect from egypt

I've actually swam a bit downstream from a wastewater treatment plant and other than the signs telling you not to do so, you wouldn't notice (as I didn't) anything different. Okay, there was a lot of sludge at the bottom of the water but to this day I tell myself that was cleanest sludge in existence and nothing icky at all!!

Can't wait for the Demon Core video if it's coming out! The video is that much better with the new audio! Only a small change to the script from the added emphasis on [GRIT] 3:16, this only shows how good the original script was! Keep up the great work.

Another great video, what do you use to animate?
  • This is very informative, can I use some of the script for my presentation about secondary wastewater treatment? As a civil engineering student majoring in water resources engineering, I gained a lot of new knowledge in just no more than 12 minutes, WOW
