Hana-Maui Resort Tour and Review | Best (And Only) Resort at the End of the Road to Hana

Publicado 2022-08-10
The Road to Hana is a right of passage for many visiting Maui, and the Hana-Maui Resort is an awesome way to spend the night on the east side of the island. Now a part of the World of Hyatt program, the Hana-Maui Resort is a Destination Hotels branded resort with 75 bungalow-style rooms overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It's an impressively-sized property, with a 3-hole pitch and putt golf course, two tennis courts, and dozens of acres of beautiful manicured lawns. Check out everything there is to do on property in this latest tour and review!

Or to mention red sand beach a 5 minute walk away from your room which is the best part of Maui! I worked at this hotel and lived in Hana a couple years and was a great experience. Walked the whole island and explored the non tourist areas and found what I needed. Life changing the longer you stay!

Excellent review of the property. We were there in December. We, as Globalist, were given the same room and we were not happy. When on the lounges you cannot see the ocean and we had a great view of the service road and trucks. Complained to Hyatt Globalist line and on our last night we were moved to the handicap room next to the pool and it was much more modern and looked directly out at the ocean. Occupancy at the hotel was very low when we were there. I felt that Globalist meant nothing to them and they only gave benefits when they had to. It took forever to get a buggy ride. We had been at Ventalla prior to this and Ventalla in everyway was much, much better than this location. You think as a Globalist they will give you the really nice ocean front room, but if you do get it, you were much more lucky than my wife and I. The view there is awesome, but lots of better places to spend your Hyatt points in my opinion.
  • Really appreciate this review, as we will be staying here for two nights in February for our honeymoon! We reserved a studio with partial ocean view with points and, like you said, I’ve heard we should decline an upgrade to a garden suite room and cross our fingers for an upgrade to an ocean view suite.

Do you know if you can use points to book and then upgrade to one of the ocean view bungalows with cash?

I heard a rumor that the Hana Maui resort is being renovated and turned into an Alila property. Can you confirm this rumor?

Unfortunately they won’t let you book a family room with points👎
