At almost every turn, Logic has found himself as the butt of the cultural joke. Ridiculed for everything from his insistence on discussing his biraciality to his willingness to present himself as an open book to an inherently cynical audience, Logic has been written off by no shortage of fans over the years. But even as the world took from him with one hand, it gave with the other.

Through it all, he’s retained a passionate fanbase that’d basically ensure that every time that he dropped a record, it skyrocketed to the top of the charts. Or at least that was the case until very recently when, after years of weathering PR disasters and public sleights from others, Logic’s stock appeared to take a notable drop.

But before we get there, we need to look at when Logic’s path through hip-hop began to veer off from the norm.

Logic is Another example When critics/haters/fans tear down a artist. To me he is a good MC.
  • He is just an example of someone whose sensitivity was a gift and a curse. He is way more in tune with the human struggle than most rap artists today. (Hip hop, in general, used to be that way). And he is as empathetic to humanity as it gets. He is emotional. He is affected by criticism. He does take things to heart. He is everything that most of us are as human beings. He is just open about all of these things in a genre that doesn't value or respect them. Most artists who have shown their sensitive side have had to temper it with a harder side to stay relevant. Logic is just a talented artist in a genre that has no respect for what he stands for. That part is not his fault.

Shout out to the stupid specialized media and rap "influencers" trashing out a dude who definitely can rhyme, while theres a bunch of bs rappers and trappers on streaming playlists. Sick.
  • I didn’t even know Logic was hated so much. Brilliant rapper in my opinion
  • Logic has nothing to prove. Happy that the man is being true to himself and making time for his family. I wouldn’t wanna get back in the spotlight if I was being treated this way either. He’s gotten a lot of people through tough times, and to me, he’ll always be one of the greats
  • everything in music/hip hop is subjective. Logic majority of his career has done nothing but stay true to who he is and that’s one of the best forms of measure with art. Transparency. I get a dislike for the music, but the man should be respected.

I went to his show a couple weeks ago and he killed it, the flow, lyrics, freestyle, the love compassion and humility he shared with his fans 👌 this is video is a small example of what gate keeping is

He did not kill his rap career he killed his industry career and that is a good thing my man is still making bangers and living his best life.
  • Idgaf what anyone says. I'm happy for the man finally having a family, being independent and making the rap and indie rock shit he wants to make. The numbers don't mean anything.

I feel really bad for logic for the backlash he gets, he’s made amazing music, he just overworked himself to no extent, hopefully he’s enjoying his time with his family 🖤
  • Logic is blessed. He’s for the “people”, his fans are loyal. I enjoy listening to his lyric because they are meaningful. Some people need to open up their world.

It's so interesting that this video is about his fall but most comments are positive towards him. It means that people are not dumb.

Logic got me through a divorce and custody battle simply by listening to his Under Pressure album. He'll always have a fan in me. Thank you Logic 🙏

Isn't it sad how one of the last genuinely positive hip hop artists that's for the culture has to deal with videos like this? Bro, how about a video on how successful he's been?

WoW YouTube is officially worse than TV. Two 15 second, sometimes longer uninterrupted ads followed by a sponsor ad read mid video, followed by another ad at the end of the video all in under 20 minutes.
  • @SlowSlowSloth
Logic did it right. He burst onto the scene, released some absolute bangers for years, as well as some "pop songs" to make it big, then when it started to slow down he retired a rich, but not jaded, man. Props.

Besides the misleading title, This was a well put together video. I feel like people magnify logic’s flaws, but don’t actually listen to his music, which is incredible!
  • He definitely proved himself in his latest album, I still have his newest albums songs in my rotation, definitely redeemed himself and no longer cares what the critics think
  • @skxtes8194
his “welcome to forever” mixtape is one of the best hip hop projects i’ve ever heard. i wish people gave it more credit
