Have you played Cold Fear? What do you think of it, and what's your favourite survival horror game? Let us know! 💚

This game scared me as a kid, it would be awesome if they remastered it
  • COLD FEAR was amazing. Especially the UNDERWATER TUNNEL that you blow up and run from the rushing water to get to the door in time. It definitely needs a PS5 remake.
  • I think the concept of this would do pretty well today. We’ve seen games like dead space and prey take place on a single space station, the idea of a ship in the middle of the ocean sounds pretty cool. Also a rare shout out to the King Kong game? That’s probably the best movie tie in game ever. I just beat it again last summer! So underrated

It had enough common survival horror elements for me to enjoy the game. In some areas of the game controlling Tom felt like a chore. Cold Fear is a good looking game especially for its time. Character models and the games environment looked amazing to me. I loved the rain. Cold Fear wasn't perfect but a great addition to the survival horror genre. I still own a copy of Cold Fear for PS2.

I've never known Cold Fear was made by Ubisoft and that game was practically the cause of my childhood nightmares... I miss those old days. Cold Fear is amazing

One thing that I really liked about this game was that the further you progressed the story, the more concept art was unlocked. Watching those slideshows, especially the ones that featured scrapped enemies while creepy music was playing in the background is an experience you'll never forget
  • I remember telling my mom when she was that the video rental store to get me any video game that looks fun. She ended up bringing me home cold fear it was a seven day rental back in the day. Me and my cousin ended up playing cold fear for hours, so many great memories being scared playing at my old house as a kid or bringing it camping and playing it in the trailer while my parents were outside by the fire. Amazing game. So nostalgic for me. To be a kid again …. Ah.

I love this game. Trying to shoot a mutant zombie thing while it’s coming at you while a ships deck is swaying about in a storm is tense as hell.

Cool thing about this game is that it follows the rule "aim at the head" through and through. Becouse if you dont destroy zombies head, it will get up. Also if there are any corpses that have head intact, like for example dead mercnaries, it can be reanimated by that bug thingy. So scoring headshots does not only look cool, but it is actually necessary. Like how many zombie games do that? Also using the actuall phisical game manual which had a map of the ship in it as one, becouse there is no in-game map in the game, to figure out the way was really cool.

Resident Evil Remake on GameCube is my favorite survival horror game.

For me... It's Alien: Isolation. I used to play this at night time, and the fear of bumping into a Xenomorph is just terrifying. You literally get anxious as you sense it is nearby... Definitely not for the faint of heart. Highly recommended.
  • Thank you for making this video. It always bothered me that I couldn’t find anything on this game. I originally played it when I was about 6, and it’s been on the back of my mind for awhile to the point I began to believe I just had some weird fever dream when I was a kid.
  • I played this game few times. One of the best and very scary.

Cold Fear plays AMAZING on the original XBOX - never had issues with ammo supply on Normal, and felt the controls really work well when you move around as you would if you were walking around on a boat. I feel the OG XBOX Duke controller makes it that much easier to get immersed in the game. Darkworks focus on making the physics very specifically emulate real world physics made it a point of entry, but having played and beat it in 10h for the first time the other day, honestly makes it a novel, unique action-horror title very much unlike your Resident Evil's & Silent Hill's from around that time. I was sour on the story at first, but the flavour of the logs in conjunction with the minimalist misic and environmental storytelling really made the atmosphere & experience stick with me much more than I could have ever imagined going into it. If the short length was a detriment to it back then, it's the saving grace for why you should give it a chance - and if you can - try it on console. The game honestly deserved better & would really benefit from a spiritual successor.
  • when i was a kid, Cold Fear physical copies used to be in the front of shelves when i go to the stores but the game looks like it never took off. how sad:chillwcat:
  • I don't like how this vid has only 500 views, the YouTube algorithm is evil.

Didn't know about this game and looks good. Another survival horror game I like is The Evil Within
  • Awesome game cold fear is I think. Ubisoft did a great job by making cold fear I think it's a really good horror game in its time and still great to this day 😎👍😊
