The head of the US Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle has said she plans to resign following security lapses in the run up to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

Both Democratic and Republican lawmakers called on Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to step down following the assassination attempt of Donald Trump.

The demand came during and after a hearing on Monday that questioned Ms Cheatle about her agency's security preparations ahead of the 13 July rally in Pennsylvania.

The shooting left one person dead and three others, including Trump, wounded.

The gaps in her storyline must still be addressed. They have just scratched the surface.

she wouldn't have resigned if she wasn't pressured into it.. shows how far the delusion and incompetence
  • This level of gross incompetence and negligence should be considered criminal, no way she's just walking away, she's going to be facing extreme investigation and interrogation.

"Hostile questions"? Did the BBC reporters have a good grasp of what's going on?

So, she resigned, but her boss, Mayorkas, won't resign 🤷🏽‍♂️

The atrocity she allowed to happen pales in comparison to the little grilling she got. She shouldn’t be off the hook just because she was forced to resign. She must be investigated asap.

Didn't put security services on the roof that the shooter was on, because the roof had a slope 🙈🙈🙈🙈

I hope this will not be a smokescreen for the inconvenient truth.

Crazy to think she would keep her job, is there more to this and why she should keep her job?

How many public officials / employees in the UK are the same? Promoted above their capabilities!!
  • @JosePeat
She has blood in her hands for allowing the shooter to have the first shots.
  • Her answers were vague and it shows what happens when someone is appointed on other character other than merit.
