Theatre of War 2 North Africa is the mechanism to look at a fictional engagement: 6 M13/40, 3 Semovente 75/18 and 3 Auto Binda engage British hasty defense of 3 6pdr AT guns, 2 Daimler scout cars, 3 M3 Stuart light tanks, ( though I will say Lee throughout and not catch it)
3 Cruiser Mark 1's. Brits have a inf platoon no at rifles though they will have air support.

So the idea is play what I think the Italian doctrine may have been on the ground. TO and E not up to strength or available vehicles for any given task may of course not be up to full strength. So starting with that and admitting no air supprt- had to come up with the why this armor column was where it was.
Two ideas- El Alamein first or second- the Ariete or another Italian armored unit employing this type of reaction force.
The second includes both invasion of Egypt and seeking the enemy on the retreat to Tunisia, both events I could imagine this event happening at least in terms of unit composition.
The Brits blocking forces, composite of available units forward of a depot or HQ, or strategic placement as part of flank protection, end of the line so to speak, 3 6pdr guns, 3 M3's and 3 Cruiser Mark 1's, with a inf platoon including command and close air support.
