my ex was asian, we were together for 2.5 years. his mom was ok as long as we weren't near each other. she threatened to disown & kick him out if he came to visit me and if I came to visit him, I wouldn't be allowed in his room/we couldn't be alone. all in all we broke up because she wanted him to date as asian woman; he cheated on me with one then left me for her 😂

I remember my very first heartbreak was an Asian guy that I liked a lot telling me we can’t be together bc his parents don’t want him to date outside his race. It sucked so much bc like… my race isn’t something I can change about myself. Like the amount of emotions you go through when someone tells you they can’t date you bc you’re black is like a fucking whiplash
