I can't remember if you moved your vehicle (but I think you did) to somewhere you felt more safe. Recently, your cousin Sarah was embarking on her 1st wild camping experience and she too felt something was off and left for a more public spot -- I think it was a Love's truck stop. My point being is that perhaps trusting your instincts is an excellent safety tip -- if something, or a place or a person is making you uneasily twitch, follow your gut and hightail yourself out to a more secure location or somewhere where assistance is more readily available. On January 29th, I found 5 newborn puppies (with umbilical cords still attached to their bellies) in a dumpster. Three of them survived and are about to turn 6 months old. Before I got them, I didn't care much about my health and safety, but now I even go to the doctor for stupid things because I'm afraid of dying. I know no one will take care of my 3 dogs and 2 cats if I die. Now I think twice before doing anything.

What a wonderful shop and shopkeeper! Had to lol at the reality of the cold plunge, as i always forget about the muddy bank until im slipping on it trying to extricate myself. Kinda self defeating i always think at that precise moment im elbow deep searching for a sunken slider! Thanks for reminding this foreigner that there is a wholesome, happy America despite what the news presents me....

All your safety tips are recommended for anyone who lives/works for extended periods on the road, so thank you, Nikki, especially the satellite SOS. It is so cute that Camper always sits in the driver's seat at departure and rides shotgun for the trip. Good thing he is handsome because he doesn't share the driving.

Just put yourself in the mind's of Camper and Rodney it must be so exciting for them to be in a different place everyday the sights the sounds the smells I guess that's dog heaven

I love this channel and all the people Nikki associates with!!! Everyone in general should always be aware of your surroundings especially in this day and age regardless if you living on the road or going to the store. But if living on the road you should always be prepared for anything and you should have some way to defend yourself and or your belongings, whether thats pepper spray a taser loud alarms or even a conceal carry because someone who is up to no good does not care about you in the least. I'm no expert at all but I am always aware of my surroundings.....

Great video from one of my favorite areas, Nikki. I've loved this area since I first visited in 1965 and, other than Telluride, this part of highway 145 has changed very little over the years. I find the scenery from Dolores to Telluride even better than along the Million Dollar Highway, but the MDH does stimulate your adrenaline production quite a bit more!

Absolutely love you Nikki, every Friday I cannot wait for your new video, I wish there were more, but certainly understand. Love your dogs, they are so cute, and their personalities are fun to watch. You can name your new plant FREE; because you are free, and your dogs are free, and it is a reminder of that. But any name you choose will be fine. You are amazing and so inspiring!
