Phil Collen did the guitar work on this song & he never gets credit for being as good as Steve Clark. Rock on Phil. I love your STELLAR work in Def Leppard, & on this song especially. It is one of my favorites.
  • Steve Clark was in my opinion one of the greatest guitarist ever. He made so many of the Def Leppard songs great with his riffs. He was a tortured soul who lost his fight with his demons unfortunately. RIP Steve you are missed everyday brother.
  • you can really hear how much love the band put into this song. the lyrics, the instrumental part, the feeling, you can get to understand that losing Steve was very tragic for them. this has been and forever will be my favorite Def Leppard song. it has so much meaning behind it. absolutely their most underrated song.
  • you haven't been with us for 33 years Steve Clark ❤️ you left tragically suddenly rest in peace white lightning

This is, hands down, their best song...."gods of war" comes second!..
  • No promises, no guarantees. How our Steve is missed this day and every day. 🌹

This without a doubt is my favorite Def Leppard song and my favorite song period.
  • One of their most accomplished albums as the times changed. Definitely lords of rock. 🌴😎✌️
  • This and Gods of War are arguably the darkest Def Leppard songs ever created being about truly real and fatal issues being the dangers of alcohol/substance abuse that they lost Steve Clark to and the threat of nuclear war respectively. Die Hard The Hunter and Billy's Got A Gun were about PTSD and crazed killers on the rampage. Def Leppard were never the same again after Steve was gone.
  • Phil Collin. Great guitar player. Glad that Richie Blackmore inspired him to play.
