  • Excellent advice. Old school basics....As a retired Police K9 handler, your methods are sound and effective. NOTE to new dog owners: seek help from a professional trainer if you can't do this on your own, 90% of the problems I've seen in over 40 years are with or because of the owner/handler!
  • For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕
  • We have a 5.5 month old giant schnauzer who weighs 56 pounds and this technique saved us on walks. Now walks are more enjoyable for me and the dog. Thank you for all you do!
  • @HeyAshleyG
We have tried every “no pull” harness, gentle leader, vest, etc. under the sun for our 75 lb male golden retriever. He’s 2 years old and I was sick of my shoulders and back hurting from being yanked. I fixed this behavior by this training video alone and I am shocked at how quickly it corrected the behavior. Thank you so much!

I have a dumbass karen in my neighborhood that keeps telling me to use a gentle leader and tells me to 'train my dog' when hers is a maniac in the background. You are the overall best trainer i've found so far and I thank you so much for your content. please keep up the amazing work.
  • @Nammarshall
You fixed our husky. We’re in an area with a TON of squirrels and he’s been really difficult to reign in ever since we moved here. Literally 10 minutes practicing what you teach has me really excited to go on walks with him & get him the exercise he needs

I got a Staffordshire terroir when she was 3 years old. She pulled like a 18 wheeler truck. I used this method and with in minutes she was walking with out pulling on a loose leash. what a wonderful walker she is and I enjoy walking her now. When you know you know
  • @blueflare3848
I watched your other leash walking videos and used this method on my Dalmatian puppy. What a huge difference. She walks beautifully on a leash.

When I initially started watching these videos, I felt bad for the dog. Overtime, I could understand the reason for this training and I felt it was necessary. When you really love your fur child, you should teach it good manners, potty training etc as it is your responsibility as a parent/ owner. Giving treats or pampering is not enough, it should be taught how to LIVE. Not training a puppy is the problem for many of the issues. Thank you for your channel because I don't own a dog but I'm able to understand the mentality of dogs and how we can make a better place for them. ❤

We got a 5 month old beautiful corso ( HAVOC ) and he’s an absolute great puppy we’ve been doing training with a local trainer but your videos have helped TREMENDOUSLY. Let the haters hate and PLEASE KEEP THESE GREAT VIDEOS COMING. THANK YOU

I am back after watching to confirm it works. I just got my 1st dog a few months ago and was getting tired of him pulling me. I did my best to keep his leash pulled into me tight but after 5 mins of walking and keeping the leash tight my arm and shoulder were already getting stiff. But just a few mins after I took him out with the prong collar for the 1st time it was night and day difference. I followed his tips and now my dog is already starting to follow me and I can let go of my previous grip I had on the leash and he stays on me. Actually helped me so much. Thank you ❤
  • @kristyokokok
How do you balance having your dog walk by your side but also letting them sniff and use the bathroom?
  • @dalerose1694
I started watching your short videos for a year before I got my German Shepherd . He just turned a year yesterday I believe he behaves very well. Thank you so much.
  • @jowen821
Jeff from Castro Valley, Cali, here. I can absolutely vouch for this training from Garret. He posted a video just like this a few years back and have tried it with my 4 year old American Bully at the time that was 105 lbs (RIP now). It legitimately took around 10 mins for him to walk by my side, loose leash, and no pulling. Fast fwd to now with our new 1 yr old American Bully, 50 lbs, and same thing. Loose leash, no stress. Balanced training with the prong WORKS!
  • I adopted a 10month Doberman and his pray drive and lease pulling was bad. Finally tried the prong collar and he walked like I new how too train a dog from pulling the first walk. He now is a pleasure to walk but whines a lot when he can’t chase a squirrel😂. Thanks I use your methods and my 90lb Doberman is doing great on walks!! Cincinnati
  • Used this method on a very leash reactive 1 year old Doberman that I adopted, she was only walked on harnesses from her last owner 😂 Got the prong right away and now she is a stellar and polite walker. We can enjoy being out in the world together! Like you always say, this is for quality of life for pooch and owner ❤
  • Tried it, did it to my 2 year old Siberian Husky and it worked like magic. We are no longer playing tug and I no longer feel like doing a deadlift after taking her for a walk. Now she's 3 years old and occasionally I still need to do it since you know how Siberian Huskies are. Thank you so much for your informational videos. More power to you and your channel.
  • @MichaelBanfield
I'm training my friend's dog while he is out of town for a few months.. Koda(9yrs) is a big dog, like rottweiler/husky/idk what else he said she is.. anyways, the pulling on the lead had to stop day one. I bought her a slip lead and using this technique she walks next to me amazingly. She does still get distracted by dogs.. and we are working on off lead recall still.. But with my blue heeler(3yrs) using these methods, he is perfectly off lead trained and I can walk down city streets with him freely. It's truly the best! Thanks so much from Cincinnati!
  • @Saghilarious
I just got a 2yr old rotweiler and shes pretty reactive to other dogs and people, cars too, but shes getting soooo much better and thank goodness food motivated, and she wants to learn. Thank you for all that you do!
