A little adult detail I noticed was that Pepa sings "It was my wedding day" and Felix echos "It was our wedding day." I do this all the time and my husband always reminds me that it was his day, too. Oops!
  • @Laramaria2
Can we just take a second to appreciate Felix defending Pepa against Abuela when Pepa says she's doing her best!?!? Felix is just husband goals 😍
  • @djdark1
When Delores says Mariano wants five babies, we see Isabella's first panic imperfection. A perfect row of red flowers bloom across her head with one out of place white one which Abuela plucks and tosses without comment. Indicating how she micromanages everyone.
  • Luisa and Surface Pressure broke me. “I’m pretty sure I’m worthless if I can’t be of service” was definitely painful to hear.

Due to myself being an adult who loves Disney, I noticed that during Bruno’s rat telenovela slide, when the girl rat runs away, another one pops up in the it’s place, because it’s a telenovela.

I love how camilo, despite being the naughty one in the family, truly wants to help others.

The Miércoles joke isn’t limited to Colombia. It’s used as a PG curse word in a lot of Spanish speaking countries

I don't know if this counts as a detail only for adults but I think coffee kid is a genius nod to the fact that kids in colombia are sometimes drinking coffee(as colombia is one of the world's biggest exporteurs) where it would be weird for a kid to drink coffee anywhere else 😂

Tiny detail: when Mirabel talks with casita about what's going on with the miracle and the scene takes a place where Dolores (or actually disguisted Camilo) is taking some food on the plate you may notice angry Pepa with rainy cloud above her head taking a sip of a coffee which improves her mood and makes the cloud dissapear

You mentioned 2 of Hercules' labors from Greek mythology, but everyone seems to miss a third reference. Luisa is asked to reroute the river right before the guy says that the donkeys got out again. The First Labour of Hercules was to clean the Agean Stables, which were said to house so many horses that it was filthy again before anyone could finish cleaning it. Hercules solved this problem by rerouting a river to wash out the stable.
  • ALSO, Luisa is strong and still embrace her feminine side! It's really awesome how she doesnt fall into the stereotype of the "masculine" muscular girl, she loves colors, she has great dance moves, she even rides a donkecorn! I love her so much.

I like how everyones gifts are kind of their curse. Like, Isabelle’s gift forced her to act perfect in ways she didn’t want too. Luisa’s gift forced her to essentially carry everything for everyone. Bruno’s gift forced him to tell people things they don’t like. Dolores hears everything but can’t keep a secret. And Pepa is forced to control her emotions constantly, something she’s not good at. Smart writing with that
  • I definitely felt bad for Pepa on having to control her emotions, but it being a vicious cycle of constantly worrying about it and that worrying making things worse.😥 Also, I love that the movie showed characters that are complex and more than just one trait/characteristic.😊(One of the reasons I felt bad for Luisa too since she only thought of herself as strong because that’s all that people needed of her 😞).

As an oldest child myself, I could really relate to the pressure that Luisa puts herself under to always be strong, and of service to the people around her. "Surface Pressure" made me cry the first time it.
  • Cool little detail someone pointed out is that when Camilo is comforting his mother he shape-shifts into some of the adults of the family when he's struck by lightning. First Felix then Abuela and then Augustin. That's cause he's doing something adults usually do. Taking care of the family members.
  • I love Felix backing Pepa up with the "I'm doing my best!"/"Yes!" exchange at 1:27. I hadn't noticed it before watching this video and it's very cute. :)
  • An adult joke I noticed is that in Columbian culture, when someone says it looks like rain to someone on their wedding day, that means you think their going to get divorced. Bruno meant it as a joke, but that's why Peppa got so upset. Another detail I noticed, this one about Camillo, is he genuinely is a nice person, but he doesn't do many things by himself, except for when his parents are around. Like, he only really does work when asked, and then only as someone else, because he's been taught the only thing about himself that is useful is his gift, meaning he's not useful, the people he shapeshifts into are the useful ones. Like, even on their family tree you can only see his head, because he's swishing his yellow cape thing.

For number ten ,Isabella also can be driven by her emotions she just wasn’t allowed to show it. As we see when she does get emotional it produces a cactus. Not saying you are wrong at all just wanted to include it
  • The Miercoles joke is not limited to Colombia. My wife, who is Honduran, loved the joke as well. Edited - I misspelled it earlier. That’s what I get for being in a rush. No disrespect intended to a proud country.
