It's (basically) the one year anniversary of I Quit My Band, so we're doing a little something for ourselves and taking a stroll down memory lane.
We're talking about the best, or maybe just our favorite, supergroups of all time. The kind of supergroup that made Kurt Loder announce to the world, "ladies and gentleman, the sickest thing of all time has just happened" or the kind that makes Eddie Trunk from VH1 Classic spew in his shorts.
Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Them Crooked Vultures, all making a giant splash and then basically disappearing, and then others who stuck it out for a while and made a bigger and better name for themselves, like Run the Jewels, Fuzz...thats basically it.
Whether or not they're still around doesn't matter, these supergroups all ruled in their own way for a period of time and got us excited and juiced up.

Great podcast. I feel like y'all whiffed on not starting at the start? I suppose? Y'all had have at least heard of Cream. And considering the breadth of knowledge you all bring to your discussions, it surprised me that they were not even mentioned. Especially considering the devotion demonstrated to great drumming and great riffs. I mean... Cream is the reason the term "supergroup" entered the pop culture lexicon. But otherwise. Very solid. I'm really happy I stumbled on the pod.

That Anastasia Part is the Pre solo which he also plays as the intro The riff in rhe song is basic but at the end of live performance of the song there is a 4 minute guitar solo which is only 2 mins of improve from slash as the song is just an avanue to let him off the hook and shread self indulgently
