Brave is a 2012 American animated fantasy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. "Irish" Scottish people losing their minds
  • @prageruwu69
that intro feels like an anti-scottish hatecrime
  • @ikaika1
This movie walked so Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons could run
  • The will-o-the-wisp in mythology are sinister ghost lights that appear over bogs, swamps, and marshes and are known to lead travelers astray or even to their own deaths.
  • 2:52. My dad actually left me while he was watching this movie with me in theaters so I really appreciate it spilling the milk for making me relive this memory again

Merida is one of my favorite princesses. And I love that it doesn’t end with her getting together with some guy, it’s about the love between a mother and her daughter
  • @josome7451
They didnt thirst for the mom once which is impressive. (Despite her technically being the thickest pixar mom)
  • Brenda Chapman, one of the directors of Prince of Egypt, was supposed to be the sole director of this movie. But through major production problems that can clearly be seen in the movie, had to be replaced by another person.

One time my sister was merida for Halloween, shes a natural ginger and some random lady tugged on her hair to see if it was real☠️☠️
  • @Montesama314
This movie doesn't leave much of an impression but man, they did do well with Merida's hair. I almost wish this was more about Merida adventuring and kicking ass instead of so much of the story focusing on the castle and political affairs. "I like Merida, I just wish she was in a better movie" is my exact sentiment.

"We're 200 years past arranged marriage", umm India, which is more populous than the US and Canada combined.
  • @heyyo966
Get this. The director they got to replace Brenda Chapman had no idea what the movie was about. In a BTS special features or an interview whatever, he said “gender has nothing to do with this movie”. WTF!!! How is a movie about a princess and her mother clashing about getting into an arranged marriage or living strongly and independently not a gendered story!!!

3:25 the fact that its basically impossible to not pay your taxes in scotland cos you get taxed before you get payed makes this so much more funnier to me 😭
  • @Crystalcourt
“There’s a lot of wood. I don’t see much Elijah though” that was comedy gold holy shit
  • @tylerrock7219
As soon as the mom turns into a bear my brain just turns off. I really wish we had gotten the movie the original creator wanted, because it clearly was not this.
  • @gruggedup9083
This is 'would you rather be alone with a bear or a man in the woods' the movie.
  • @TableNugget
Did you know brave is the only ginger person to be a main character in a Disney movie
  • @PassionateMyst
I legit remember rewatching it in 8th grade and went “ Wait, it didn’t start with the witch immediately? “ I made a rewrite of Brave in my head and stuck to it so hard that I thought it actually happened 😭
  • @jharmond3874
To me the problem with the story isn't the mom turning into a bear but the fact that the most of the movie takes place in the castle and I'd love to see more of the woods and the magic and Merida doing cool stuff with her bow.
  • @samzilla567
Brave is far from being a bad film, but watching it you can't help but notice that it reeks of "development hell" with so many weird ideas from different people thrown into the mix.
